good pic but it would be much better if willard didnt look like he was enjoying being knocked down haha. he almost has a smile on his face. it would be better if he had a look of fear or pain in his eyes, i hope that doesnt sound to sadistic

Well, the smiling expression does say something for the human spirit if it's not just a trick of the light. Here's a guy taking what's acknowledged as the most brutal 1-round beating in boxing history, and he's looking up at Dempsey with a "is that all you've got?" look.

Yeah, it's a great pic, I have it as my desktop background sometimes.
I think the expression on Willards face could be seen in a variety of ways.

672isn't that the punch where marciano throws a right hand and then hits walcott in the head and goes down?

if u layed him on the cement in that exact position he would look like he got murdered haha

Not sure, but according to the experts (i.e., dead guys who actually saw those fights), that wasn't the punch that kayoed Jersey Joe, however horrific the photo looks.
I've watched the tape several times and the knockout doesn't seem to quite coincide with a Marciano right thrown from that particular angle.
I suspect it's just the magic of flash photography. As a photographer, I miss the days when flash was okay ringside. It froze the action better and made for some really dramatic shots. And as a former amateur fighter, when flash photography was okay, I never even noticed the cameras.

For right now this one (if I could find a better quality one):
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Carter came into this fight in rock solid condition looking to bounce back from the Giardello fight and got totally outclassed by the bigger badass. A clinic in infighting.
