But Kerr is not as well known as 'Bog brush head' so thats why he got the nod. It will be fun to see Buncey take the piss though as I am sure he will.

the way i see it is...most fight fans enjoy all of satanta's output of late...and these fans like and respect kerr and the job he is doing...
i for one think he's doing a superb job and like has been said before he compliments bunce perfectly...he seems knowledgable and has got everyones respect here...
if satanta keep with the formula of bunce and kerr, i think it works for boxing fans...be nice for satanta to take into account what the real fans of the sport like...i think they do...

Basically the poster above (Body Snatcher) I think came up with teh nickname in the Andy Kerr appreciation thread and then Bunce and Andy Kerr made reference to it on last weeks show.

He's a legend hopefully he will be on our screens in some capacity saturday night/sunday.

I think Dempsey is good, he just does not gel with the Bunce.

My girlfriend was not a huge fan of the show initially but she now thinks that without Kerr the phone-in show would lose a little appeal, no jokes please. Bunce is quite larger-than-life so you need someone who is prepared to accomodate him whilst acknowledging that it all gets a bit madcap at times, Kerr can do this, Dempsey cannot. Kerr has that twinkle in his eye that Dempsey does not. It is a humour thing.

Dempsey has anchored some big shows and has always done a great job, especially given that I hear he is not a huge boxing fan.

Horses for courses and all that.I agree. It is a humour thing and Bunce and Kerr just make a really good team in that respect. Kerr seems to be a big boxing fan too so it makes you wonder why they'd replace him by someone who isn't.

I'm sure the holiday to NY softened the blow fr him. Dempsey is by no means bad, I guess they just want to trust experience. They will have a lot of the JCL boxing fans watching who probably won't know who Kerr is and just want to watch the fight.
