One of Relson's students is fighting next. Interesting. His students are only recently getting into MMA because for a long time he refused to allow his students to fight in MMA.

Good first round. I've heard of this guy Nissen. He supposedly trains like a machine. He has his hands full with this wrestler. Good match up.
both guys were dead tired at the end of that one.

They were giving it their all. Good fight. It looked like Nissen was going to pull it out with his superior striking - but he gassed badly - lost the takedown and got pounded out. Such is life inside the ring.

Two incredibly promising fighters, especially Josh, but definitely Nissen as well.
Leonard Garcia is lucky to be fighting at all, he was just cleared of a HUGE drug charge, good for him, especially if he didn't do it. It was very very very serious.

Pulver came in to Wu Tang and went out to Gravediggaz.
Want to see what he got caught with on the replay. He seemed to be hanging well - then the wind went out of his sails and Garcia battered him.

Damn, that was pretty brutal, Jen's just doesn't normally get battered like that on his feet. Leonard looked great, must be taking out all that aggression from the charges :lol:

Sonnen continues to show he might have the lowest MMA IQ in the game by not just back away and going back to striking, this is how he lost last time, and he almost got caught twice.
Does he not learn? It's bad enough Jiu Jitsu seems foreign to him, but god, this is dumb.
He has great takedowns and decent striking, but apparently not so good with gameplans.

Round 2: Chael finally gets smart, listens to his corner, and backs away when Filho is on the ground, FINALLY.
Filho looks too out of shape to get a takedown, but at least he hasn't given up on it and started a striking battle.

Terrible fight. Sonnen's punches look like he's trying to wipe the sweat off of Filho... Filho is just plain terrible. Hasn't showed a single thing yet.
filho is fucked. he should lose his title after this.

Shameful for Filho, out of shape, unmotivated, completely gave up in the 3rd, didn't just abondon the takedown, he abandoned the everything, mostly because he was too out of shape and didn't care, shameful.
As a fan of Filho, that was disgusting and sad.
maybe filho thought it was 5 rounds? or i guess he just didnt care because his title wasnt on the line.

Dreadful fight. Filho looked horrendous. Sonnen should have pushed the pace a bit more and put the heat on Paulo. Let's see if Paulo keeps his word to hand the belt to Sonnen.

Tad early stop I think, but very nice job by Mike Brown, he earned that. I've heard he's good, I've seen just a little of him, I always thought he might give Urijah a run for his money, but wow, that surprised me, not just the end, the way he fought the whole time.

Urijah kinda knocked himself out though the kid threw that elbow with no technique and he was looking in the opposite direction so hes hit with a perfect right hand that he had no clue was coming. Id love to see a rematch of this fight although Leonard Garcia might have something to say about that.

BTW I hope Filho never gets a contract with the UFC this guy put on arguablly the most pathetic display of fighting ive seen he tried to avoid this fight like the plague for almost a year that doesnt even try to make weight thinking Soonen wont fight him then he just keeps dropping to his ass every chance he got.

Yeah at one point it actually seemed like Faber was on his way to recovering then Thomas hit him with about 4 big shots and Faber was taking it clean so I suppose the ref didnt wanna take any chances. I myself knowing who Faber is id probablly have gave it 2-3 more secounds with could be a long time although it dont sound like much.

Yea, looks like Faber was trying a reverse elbow; usually he can do that sort of thing and have it work because hes so nasty and explosive with his elbows, but just shows that Brown was truely deserving.

Yeah he usually can but look at how he tried it he appeared to be already stunned before that with a shot then he gets up and throws that thing out of left field with his eyes in the wrong spot like he was just basically throwing a hailmary shot. But shit everyone makes mistakes including the great fighters which he is. Im a bit sad though cause it looked as if Brown may have hurt his ribs in that fight and ive been there that stuff is horrible on your breathing and painful as hell if only Faber couldve recovered we wouldve had a classic.

Yeah but the only real shocking one would be Faber getting KOed. Sonnen shouldve won the 1st Filho fight but he fought retarted and Pulvers been KOed a few times come to think of it.
Pulver got plowed. Faber got knocked out. And someone told Fihlo he was getting sent to either a high school dance or a brothel. I'm not quite sure what he was doing.
I think it's fair to say that was one bizarre event.

I wonder if Filho and Faber aren't victims of their own press clippings. Filho must have been reading the article that said he was going to take over the UFC at 185 when Silva moves to 205 while Faber was reading about how he's supposed to be innovative and do things no one else can do?
These guys forgot to keep it simple. Come in in fighting shape. And set up your strikes properly.
