ESB has a front page article saying that Chagaev has a chronic illness, and the site that is confidential about boxing says he has hepatitis B.
ESB also says on the frontpage that they claim that there was no step aside money in Holy being put in there so fast.
Who knows.
Regardless of if Chagaev is really ill, and regardless of if there was no stepaside money in this switcheroo, its still a bit rediculous for Sultan and Warriors Boxing to claim to want complete unification, then immediately take a fight with Holy, forgetting about setting up a fight with another titleholder, instead.
But if Holy does manage a win over Sultan (likely) I think Holy will be the most likely to take on another titleholder right away. Holy vs. Chagaev or Holy vs. Wlad, either one, seems like a very possible scenario, seeing as how Holy is on a mission, and has limited time to complete it..
you actually think Holy is going to beat him? After Sultan retires him you can tell me "You were right"

I know it will end in tears. Holyfield will never do it. I wish he'd retire, but come on lets get behind the guy, it's his decision to fight on and we won't change his mind no matter how many time we discuss it. Although I don't want him to be fighting I'll cheer for him, it's his life. Come on Evander.

If he pulls of the win (improbable) then yeah Holy will be the best bet for unification to begin, he's made his intentions clear, he won't mess around with nobodies he'll want the other champs.

And even if it did happen, do you actually believe he could get passed Klitschko's Jab, hook, and Right Hand??
....
No, I never said I thought Holy could get past Wlad, or Vitali, or even Peter or Chagaev, but I do think he's got a good chance at outboxing Sultan.
And if he were to catch Sultan with a vicious left hook like the one that dropped Big Lou, anything can happen. If Austin can hold his own with Sultan, and even knock him down, I am confident that Holy will do as well, if not a bit better than Austin did.
Holy don't deserve this shot, even if it is for the mere WBO, and I don't think he'll get any more titles if he wins this one, but I do see him trying to get a second title, right away.
And that is what we are looking for; titles being brought together.:good

I am actually pulling for evander. At least if he wins, you know he will fight ANYBODY. That man has never and will never duck anyone. Also, good move for sultan, I'm sure it put a few more dollars on his paycheck fighting holy.

i think so. i think you need to take a course of medicine and after a certain period it becomes safe again. however it never actually leaves the body.
but then again i once dabbled in a bit of tae kwon do to get my legs more flexible, and my instructor had some kind of hepitaitis. apparently he was always making sure no one hit him in the mouth because if he bled, and your knuckles were cut then i imagine the diease could spread. not that he gave that as his reason but it seems likely.
so i guess my post is kinda pointless since i dont know really LOL

Holyfield is going to get his ass handed to him by Sultan. Hopefully he won't take too many big shots with all those kids under his care.

Can chagaev continue to fight with Hepatitis?
If he hasn't chronic hepatitis b the chances to cntinue boxing are very good. It takes about 6-8 weeks (if everything goes well) to heal meaning that the virus is out of his body. Afterwards he can start training again and it should take him about 3 months to get back into his old condition. So we might expect him back in the ring around January/February...

there is a immunization against hepatitis, which every doctor has to do, boxers should do the same, since an exchange of blood is very likely.

IMO, Golota has a better chance of beating Chagaev than Holyman.

Chageavs a bad matchup for Golota. He has a good chin so he won't get stopped and he hits hard enough to discourage Golota. I would expect to see another Brewster-Golota except a few rounds longer.
I know Holyfield lost to Toney and Donald, but he looks a million times better now that he had shoulder surgery. His stamina is much improved, against Donald he was tired from the beginning. I would pick Chageav to beat Holyfield too but every great fighter has one last great fight left.

Maskaev already has a date set, Chagaev is sick and I doubt Wlad would take the fight.
So your just talking out your ass and seem a little bitter that Sultan JUST won his title and already had a unification match signed. Yet your boy Klitschko has held a title for well over a year and hasn't even been close to a unification.:deal Not to mention he was WBO champ for 3 years and never unified.

Listen, it's his life, but it's our sport. And he's risking both of them. If I (with no ring experience and no chance of winning) was given a shot at Wlad Klitschko, I would hope that everyone on here would warn me not to do it because I'd get myself killed and give the sport a PR nightmare. The way I see it, Holy's chances are only slightly better than mine at the top level of heavyweights. Mine is zero. His is practically zero. Both are bad ideas.
He already has a date set so he got a quick replacement.

and do think that was his fault, did you see Sultan calling out Wlad?..............NO , no belt holder really wants to fight Wlad and it's no secret.

Yeaah - I would laugh until my ass dropped down.
To be honest I really think that holy hopes that the belt holders are underestimating him serous. And then bang - grandpap is back on the stage.
Holy will do the unexpected - MAYBE!!!
Stop saying he should stop. He just don't want to. He's always fit and in good shape - so let the old warrior do what he wants. Lets just enjoy the old champ in a few more fights before he retires. I hope his dream comes true - but we'll have to wait and see.
GO HOLY
Holy has a slim chance at best to beat Sultan, but if he does manage to somehow win I would hate to see him against Wlad, he doesn't have enough power to give Wlad trouble. He would become the new poster boy for
everlast punching bags

What do you base that on?

His inability to unify is not do to lack of trying, but is due to the fact that everyone else seems to be afraid to fight the man. The only one I think that would be willing to fight Wlad would be Maskaev, and Don King put the kabosh on that fight, as well all know.
SO I certianly can blame Ibragimov for proudly stating about how he wanted to give the division one champion, then takes Holy so fast, all the while knowing that Wlad has recently stated he is out to unify, and has made attempts to do so........its just that the other titleholders are afraid to fight the man, period. We all realize that, but some, like you, wont' admit it out of your biased against Klitschko.
Them are the facts, right there. And I am sure you'll start talking out your ass again in reply, but that's expected.
