i know most people spar with 16oz gloves but i was just wondering if any of you used different size gloves for the bagwork and padwork. I know 16oz gloves help with the endurance but i also heard it throws off your timing something like that.

It'll only throw off your timing if you're using different sizes of gloves

so switching back and fourth would be a bad idea?

I Train with real heavy Gloves and it actually made my timing better. My Gym spars with 18 oz Gloves

Yes. You should train with the ones you'll fight with.

I use 16oz for everything, I prefer the extra weight for conditioning, not sure about the messing up your timing part.

Always, it can only help... What good is developing your skills with something you'll never actualy use to apply them? Formula 1 drivers don't train in bumper-cars...

when you enter competition they have a set pair of gloves assigned to those fights so that would be impossible to train with the same pair you train with and it would be fine to use 10 to 12 ounce bag gloves for the bag and 16 while sparring it shouldnt throw off your timeing any as long a syour sparring wit 16

14 Oz is ideal for bag work when you got fragile hands
