Johnson vs Hopkins 2 Why Not ??

:deal A few yrs back Bhop owned the Road Warrior but that was many moons ago and Johnsons was a young pup ..Now he has come into his own.I say make the fight happen it could turn out to be a very entertaining fight considering how the ROAD Warrior has progressed over the years !

I'd pay to watch this fight. Johnson would force the issue and make Hopkins fight.

Put together a nice undercard and we have a decent PPV, only for hardcore fans though b/c people don't know who Glen Johnson is.

This main event would be nearly impossible to sell, nor do I think it would carry much allure for Hopkins.

I suspect Bernard will seek to get into the mix for the Kessler/Calzaghe winner.

The Winky fight was marketable because Winky is one of the top5 pfp fighters in the world...as was Hopkins (both arguably, but in all honesty in most peoples top5). The Tarver fight was marketable because it was Bernard jumping two weightclasses to fight the recognized champ at that weightclass (the Jones wins were a bonus).

Johnson isnt close to the top10....his win over Jones is over an old, past it Jones....and his win vs Tarver was good, but awhile ago.

There is no marketability in this. Tho I do think it would be an entertaining fight.....but one that Bernard would still win pretty handily.

Sorry but I have to disagree ..Other than his P4P status Winky is as popular Johnson . And most people knew what they were going to get when these two met in the ring ..At the very least Johsnons brings a little more excitement and his wins over Jones and Tarver are enough as far as credientals ..No diffrent than Winky's win over Tito and his draw to Taylor .The fight is a sellable fight ! Who else could Hopkins fight that would bring as much attenetion as Johnson ?

True.... I had Tarver winning the first 116-112. I thought that was a horrible decision, I thought Tarver won that fight.
