There'll be feeling it that bit more when I cancel my subscription about 15 seconds after David Hayes' fight is over.

They may come up with a couple more fights, for example they purchased the rights to the haye vs mormeck fight a couple of days before it happened.

Plus i can see the wlad fight being on with haye as the special guest (as long as he wins!) plus im sure there will be some domestic fights on.

i will keep the subscription though

cos to be fair - there is alot more than boxing on their channels

Racing UK is part of the setanta subscription and I bet on the horses every weekend

Setanta is well worth the money, they are gonna keep my subscription, for a lil while yet.

How about SkySports pull their finger out?!!!!

Damn!

No Molitor v Caballero?

EDIT: Actually, I'm almost certain they will pick up a couple of those fights closer to the dates.

Just had a look on there site they've got Antonio Margarito listed as if there gonna have his next fight, but no date. Could be next year. They've also got Holt/Torres III.

Well if Enzo cannot pull it off in the ring I know he is ugly enough to be mistaken for a horse, I didn't know that he had tried a new career path

To date they've delivered some great VFM (£££s) fights - last weekend included but with Cotto / Margarito still being my fight of the year. On this basis alone they'll be keeping my subscription. Maybe their dominance will finally force Sky to get the finger out (I'm still hurting after that last PPV fiasco... enough said!).

In truth, some of their other sports coverage is okay as well - football, rugby etc. But no Aussie beach aerobics!! (You'll gather I've yet to cancel that subscription.)

Was good coverage for the Calzaghe v Roy Jones fight over the weekend...
was good that they prewarned freeview viewers that coverage was going to switch over at 5am....nearly crapped myself when after the third round Setanta stopped...but alas as stated it continued on one of the Top up Tv channels

Lets hope they do ths for all late night events for us freeview viewers...i mean even for this weekends UFC will we even get to see all of the main event!!?

Ps good work for this weekends fight viewing on Setanta...first there is the David Haye fight then the big fight Coutoure v Lesnar fight in the states!!? :thumbsup

I can understand Setanta giving them fights a wide berth. Better to trim things down and last longer than blow money on a load of relatively minor fights and then pull the plug completely. None of those fights interest apart from maybe Williams.

I cancelled during the summer drought and I'll do it again after the Haye fight.

I like other sports but not enough to keep paying month after month without any boxing on.

[Only registered and activated users can see links] I'm really up for Holt-Torres III. It should be a great fight (while it lasts)

I think they'll show the Klit fight to try and build up the fight with Haye.

I can definitely see that happening to be fair, I reckon they could be waiting to see how Haye fairs saturday then pick it up maybe??

They definitely have Holt/Torres? Great news

And dont forget they have the rights to the Hayemaker promotions shows so should have some decent domestic fights too. You have to remember setanta is still cheaper per-month than 1 ppv from sky.

Setanmta are leaking money like nobodies business apparently. Millions and millions in debt, sinking fast according to some.

Setanmta are leaking money like nobodies business apparently. Millions and millions in debt, sinking fast according to some. Its an all or nothing marketing gamble it seems. Looks like its paying off at the moment they've got lots of support but they need to start showing the normal domestic fights and capatilise where other channels are falling short.

Any chance of reducing the price?

I am torn between dropping Setanta and Sky Sports 2!

Most of the RL, cricket and boxing is on SS1 - so SS2 might be the one to go.......

I'm a tight fuck, I know

If you have Virgin, you have Setanta with Sky Sports, so there's no need to drop any.

No major disaster that there's no fights following Nov, as Dec is always quiet.

Bet Setanta would have liked RJJ to have won maybe 3 more rds. With the KD, it'd have been 115-112 and they could have done a comfortable, winnable for Joe, big money, "groundbreaking" & legendary & redemptive and essential, rematch next year.

How much is Virgin?

Do you have to have the ductwork laid to your house, because I don't think they have it in LS11!

the only long temr deal setanta have is with hayemaker promotions, and that is it.

after the calzaghe fight i suspected it would end up like this.i dunno if setanta hace long term view.

im not a big sky sports fan but they have loads of domestic boxing, which i cant falter them all for that.but these deals are about for a 2years at least.

Yeah tbh sky do pretty well domestically i love friday fight nights, but otherwise setanta pisses on sky imo. No ppv is always a winner in my eyes

Hayemaker, the Germans and Top Rank. There are deals in place.
I bet that Setanta show 8 nights of boxing in Jan, Feb and March next year.
I wish that Carl's fight was with us but it's not.
I wish that we had Aud and Big Marty but we do not.
And, other places wish they had some of our fights - that's the way it works.
Adios.
