I don't think Chavez was even knocked down in his first 90 or so fights was he? What makes you think Pac could beat him in his prime let alone by KO?

Chavez late stoppage. He had the chin to take anything pac can dish out, better teqnique and his body work would slow pac down.

I was just referring to handspeed, and yes meldrick was arguably the fastest boxer to ever walk planet earth, and not only would box circles around pac as well....but if you want your power measuring stick....Try Edwin Roasario...one of the hardest hitting lighweights ever....CHAVEZ WALKED RIGHT THROugh HIM....or does your lack of knowlege not know that one.........   ...power. speed, ...Chavez gots u covered,,,,,:-((
Will you Pac fans stop with this shit? Goddamn I liked Pac before his goddamn ridiculous fans ruined it for me. Chavez by TKO within 7.

pac too fast???...ughhh,,,,have you ever heard of a fighter by the name of Meldirck Taylor???...
Taylor's speed dominating Chavez the whole fight.
The difference between Pac & Taylor's speed are night & day.
Taylor got speed but no Power. Taylor speed is in spurts, Pac Power & speed are relentless. Taylor got no Chin , Pac's recently was Iron-made.
Plus, Chavez really has no special gifts. His Power & speed is nothing special. He's just over hyped by winning against 60+ cabby drivers. Against elite Chavez really doesn't dominate. We know how Pac dominates elite fighters.
I pick Pac by TKO on cuts. I give Chavez's chin some credit.
Pac is already stretched at 130. The man fought half his fights as a Flyweight and yet you fools are pitting him against Chavez who STARTED AT 130...!!! And I'm reaching???:patsch
Then why did you pick Pac to win?

Chavez's best weight is debatable. Some thought he lost a bit of his power @ 140. But at 130, he had some tough fights like the LaPorte fight which was very close, and the Lockridge one. Besides the Taylor (who was a great young talent) fight, Chavez didn't really have any tough fights @ 140 until Randall in 1994.
Chavez as more dominant @ 135, but then again, he stayed there a shorter time so there's less fights to pick from.

Chavez by TKO, and it would be ugly. Chavez isn't a boxer that will allow Pac to wind up shots from the outside. He's one of the greatest pressure fighters ever. Uses jabs and head movements to get in side. Once on the inside, he has a variety of attacks that seemlessly finds it's targets. Also, he's a master at landing left hooks on breaks from head to head inside fighting(not ref. initated breaks, btw). Right when you think you're getting a second break from the inside, BAM!!!!!! Left hook on the button.
Also, Chavez is a big time body punchers. Pac was KO by a body blow by a Thai pressure fighter megdeng(wrong spelling). Imagine Chavez similar to that guy with nonstop pressure, but stronger, more skilled, and even better attacks to the body.
I love Pac, but no way do I see him beating a prime Chavez @ 130.
Chavez via TKO everytime.

Not only was JCC stronger than MAB, EM, and JMM, but a much better boxer as well. Number one pound for pound for a number of years and walked through the shots of hard punchers like nothing.
Chavez usually weight in around 145 max on fight night so its not entirely ridiculous for a prime JCC to be compared against the current 144 lbs Pac at 130.

You can never be 100% sure, but that's the point of fantasy matchups, to analyze who(through actual analysis of their styles) would win. You don't just say so and so because you like him more if the other fighter's style is perfectly suited to beat him and back it up with "well you don't know that they never fought, so hah!".
yup cant be 100% sure...so every answer in here is bullshit right?? :yep

I said it was about analyzing matchups. Looking at the matchup it should be a clearly better bet to go with Chavez, just as it would be a clearly better bet to go with Ali over Pacquiao, but not that extreme. I see no way Pac beats Chavez, which is why I favor Chavez considerably.
i understand. its like betting...the way you analyze fights, you base all your observations from previous fights and the record books. While for some they favor the underdog to win, against the odds...you may have a strong case to go with you, but undoubtedly, there has been a lot of historic upsets, and in this case, it is not improbable. So it is fair to say that chavez will be the favorite but saying pac dont stand a chance is also bullshit:good

Neither MAB or EM are top 5 Mexican ATG's. Top 10, but not top 5. And we already saw what happened when Pac couldn't finish JMM, he got outboxed for 10 rounds. As good as PAC is, he is no where near on JCC's level. PAC caught barrera and morales after they had beaten eachother to death practically. He nearly loss to Marquez after dropping him 3 times in round 1. PAC caught Barrera sleeping and caught the world by surprise. But based on the marquez fight, you can see that if you can weather the early storm, PAC is very beatable by a decent boxer/counter puncher. JCC could easily handle anything little PAC has to offer. As one poster mentioned, PAC's speed is nothing compared to meldrick taylor.

We are comparing Pac right now at 130 which has improved tremendously under Roach tutelage... he has now develop a devastating right hook, boxing skills(watch the Larios fight) & is concentrating on his defense now by picking his spots using angles, much stronger at 130 & most of all he still has his speed & power.:hey

rosario punched far harder than pac man. and chavez had no trouble with his power.:yep
and pac man wouldnt be punching non stop. cause trading with chavez is a little different than the kind of power pac man is used to getting hit with.
with that non stop style he would go out by a single bomb in two.

I would give this to Chavez by KO probably late. How about putting the Great Azumah Nelson into the mix against Pac Man at Featherweight or Junior Lightweight and against the Great Julio Cesar Chavez at Junior Lightweight. This one makes me tingle all over what wars those would have been.

pac man was knocked out twice early in his career. so his chin aint perfect. and chavez was a murderous puncher at 130.

How did you know that Rosario punches harder than Pacman?:nut Pacman power is special, capable of cracking the hardest chins in boxing like what he did to Morales, MAB & Marquez. Nobody had won a fight against Pacman fighting toe to toe w/ him. Pacquiao's body shot is underrated, his conditioning is phenomenal & was never been bullied in the ring yet. Chavez was there to be hit & his style of going forward is perfect for Pacman. Eventually my prediction Chavez will kiss the canvas a couple of times & get stopped due to cuts by eating too many left hands from Pac . :bbb

I'ved been watching boxing since Ali, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, & Tyson days. Then recently back & watching boxing again Because of Pac.
After tyson, I've been just an occasional Boxing fan & seen just a few fights, Bowe- Holy, DLH- TKO Chavez 1 & 2, DLH Trinidad. These fights didn't make me a Boxing fan again. I didn't see anything special with these fighters. Until I saw Pac-MAB. Pac reminds me why we're Crazy about Boxing during the SRL & Tyson days.
My memory of Chavez was Playing as a Pinata for DLH. Thanks youtube I saw Chavez in his Prime, but still not impressed & saw nothing special. Chavez is too slow for Pac. It will be like Pac MAB demolition.

yap but pac is number 2 pound per pound    how about chavez when he was campaigning at 130??? was he the numero uno or dos?  case closed!! :good :good
Well just to let you know Chavez was once p4p #1 for like 3 years, what about pac?And another thing i've noticed is that pac has been hurt by body shots.Heck even Larios hurt him to the body and he was coming up from two weights and does not pack much power.Imagine what Chavez would do who was biger than Larios, was one of the best bodypunchers ever ,had a granite chin, had good boxing skills and very good power.tell me how pac would win?And dont say speed cuz Taylor was one of the fastest boxers to ever walk the earth,Rosario a much bigger puncher than Pacquiao, when Chavez faced him out of his 31 wins 29 were by k.o.He faced slick fighters like Camacho, all these fighters he dominated and they were faster and more powerful than pac and he walked right trhough their punches. So tell me why would it be diffrent with pac?Does pac have more power than Rosario?Faster than Taylor?Tell me how would he beat Chavez?Chavez would take pacs punches, pac would get frustrated, slowly Chavez would go to the body with tunderous shots,he was also a great head hunter,he also had very good head movement, trust me pac is used to being the bully, but in this case Chavez would be the bully. He would cut the ring on Pac and eventually end the fight with a body shot,or the ref would stop it due to all the punishment inflicted on pac.And the reason i am so sure Chavez would win is cuz the kin of fighter that gave him problems where boxers/movers like Taylor(and he still k.o ed him) and Whitaker.Pac is not a boxer/mover type of fighter, now fighters that liked to slug it out like Rosario would get punished and stopped. And pac is like Rosario slugger and puncher. Now you tell me how pac would beat Chavez?

Yup, they are called champions.....perhaps beating good fighters should be the goal. BTW, if this is your viewpoint, never bash PBF again. He has more money and recognition than Pacman so you should have NO problem with that:deal
Titles don't matter:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
i dont meddle with pbf and hes superior than pac (above 130) :good i
and pbf will always have the money because he is at the heavier weight and american :yep :yep

I was perfectly fine with the draw. Aside from the first round, Pac really didn't do much, and I thought Marquez boxed his way back beautifully.
Anyway, how can anyone take you seriously. You are obvciously a GIANT Pac fan, and don't seem to know much about anyone else. You post like a scorned child, and I doubt you can even really score a fight involving Pac objectively.

there is no denying that jmm fought his way out and outboxed pac.
if not for the first round, pac lost that one. the thing about the scoring is some people scored it so high for jmm which is way off. i guess they have this sentiments because of jmm coming from the 3 kos. imo, jmm getting 10 rounds or more is crazy. the fight was brutal. it is hard to score it when emotions are high :deal

Chavez cleaned out 130, then moved up and out-slugged perhaps the hardest hitting lightweight of all time in Edwin Rosario, then moved up to 140 and stopped perhaps the fastest fighter P4P of all time in Meldrick Taylor. It would be very difficult for Pacquiao, who fought his first title fight at 112, to beat Chavez.

hello my friend lance... i will give you reasonable answer since you are diplomatic tonight.
jcc may be a technician, but he loves to go forward and trade when he gets excited. as history says, most fighters who went toe to toe with packy suffered a ko or brutal punishment.dont get me wrong jcc has iron chin, but pacs relentless attack will wear him out. on the other hand if jcc goes to his style of not getting excited and play his pace, then pac will get frustrated which will lead to jcc getting the ud. i would say at 130 it will be 40 to 60 favoring jcc. :deal

Most fighters Pac faced, and by most I mean ALL, were NOT Julio Cesar Chavez or in his league. JCC was a VERY hard hitter not to mention one of the best at attacking the body. I seem to recall Pac getting stopped by a body shot.
Either way Pac has not shown anything @ 130 to make you think he competes with Chavez. He split fights w/ a fading Morales. That's about it.
And here's where you say he MADE Morales that way while like that ignoring ALL his previous wars. :patsch

but most fighters jcc faced at 130, WERE NOT IN PACS LEAGUE EITHER .... jcc was a hard hitter which is true but how about pac?? 3 pound per pound (JMM, EM, MAB) went down more than 10 times. you can argue that other fights didnt happen at 130 and pac didnt prove at 130 yet, but still these are class A fighters being mentioned in the ring magazine. now can you name 3 fighters that jcc defeated at 130 that belongs to the elite?? NONE. you may argue again that pac didnt either at 130, but remember pac is going up and trying to find his niche.
pac got kod when he was 17, a malnourished guy who couldnt even afford a 3 meals a day. look at how pac evolved.. his physique, his stamina, it is totally different now. dont give me the crappy reasoning about em... em fought a head butted pac. em won,no excuse, but please you know that you can see better with two eyes than one. you know that lance ;) and em couldnt even put away a 1 eyed pac... it was even close :deal ...chavez will have a hard time facing pac. he will face a fighter that is far superior to those guys he defeated at 130 :deal

Remember this. Chavez was a hard hitter at 140 too....Pacman is smaller than Chavez. Pacman will not be the harder puncher in the ring with Chavez who fought all the way to 154.

Not gonna argue with you. Chavez fought plenty of A class fighters. I would say more than Pacman certainly. Ramirez, Rosario, Taylor, etc.

What he did to Marquez and Barrera @ 126 or Morales @ 130 is meaningless. We aren't talking about them. All you do is try to talk about P4P or names. You have no clue how this fight would happen. :patsch

But by your logic, if you were that company, you would need to look at Pacman's resume at 130. He hasn't beaten a P4P fighter at 130.
You aren't asking your questions right.
You ask who JCC has beaten that is P4P at 130 close to Pacman.
The inverse is who has Pacman has beaten at 130 close to Chavez.
You cannot say Pacman is linked to all these great companies (beaten fighters I presume at 130 is your analogy) because he isn't linked to any at 130. Just a past his best Morales who was not P4P when he beat him. And Morales did beat him.
So if you are going to ask these questions, you need to ask them correctly.
You need to answer the same question your asking in reverse. Who has Pacman beaten that is P4P and is close to JCC's level at 130?

I am not going to do these games. You know how many fighters have been headbutted? If thats all it takes to beat him, then he is in trouble.
The point is, this is the fundemental problem with your arguing your points. You ask questions, but when asked the inverse of your question, you don't answer it or you respond with something that has nothing to do with the actual topic. Examples:
He is p4p #2 doesn't mean anything to this argument. If it did, I would just point out that once Ring started its P4P rankings in 1989, by 1990 Chavez was #1 and stayed there 3 yrs in a row. You would lose that argument based on that.
You can't talk about people making excuses saying that MAB isn't as good as JCC when before he lost they were comparing them. I would simply point out that you just made an excuse for Pacman losing to Morales that happens in many fights and the fighters get past it. There have also been a # of excuses for his other losses.
Just trying to help you here.

You can't talk about JCC's competition at 130 since Pacman hasn't beat anyone at 130. One top 10 fighter isn't very good. He isn't terminating P4P fighters. It will get turned against you.
Pacman hasn't beaten anyone on Chavez's level. So you can't use the argument that JCC never beat anyone on Pacman's level without having it thrown back in your face.
You are arguing your opinion against facts.
Here are the facts. BTW, you guys love to use Ring to make points. It will be used against you now.
You are talking about Chavez's competition at 130 being weak?
He beat Lockridge and Mayweather, both Ring champions at that weight with Lockridge being #4 and Mayweather being #3 when he beat them. He beat Martinez, the #3 fighter by Ring when Chavez beat him. He beat LaPorte who was #3 when Chavez beat him. These are not cab drivers....or does Ring rank them?
Now compare Pacman's resume at the same weight.
