Also, although remembrance day started out in relation to WWI, it now basically encompasses any war that has been fought, and the fighters from any country involved.
The idea is not about glorifying war, it is about remembering people who died for your nation, whichever nation you consider yourself from.

Remembrance Day is not a political view . . . Anthony is a very uneducated person . . . Im not trying to be mean but i can see when he trys to speak well, put sentences together, he isnt educated very well . . . Mundine, you and everyone else can say what they wish about the war or wars, that is not the point . . . My opinion on the World Wars and other wars such as Vietnam is, Australians were not fighting for our country because at the end of the day we were not under any direct attack . . . But these guys are soldiers who fought, whether they wanted to or not and that demands the respect of everybody, whether you agreed with the war or not . . . Anthonys disresepct of these people just to get PPV numbers up is ridiculous and he should be ashamed for using remembrance day to hype a fight.

Regardless of what he thinks of this country's current status, remembrance day is about paying respect to the many thousands of Australians who died protecting our shores, albeit in foreign lands.

There was no white or black ANZAC'z just people defending Australia. When they got back of course they went back to normal but that makes there even more reason to Remember those who sacrificed themselves for this country.
I know that I have plenty of family that fought in both world wars and Im sure Choc does as well. He should just try and think before he says silly things like this but that isn't his strong suit.

But I have grown up in Lakemba in the Canterbury Bankstown area my whole life and on the whole the f*ckwits are the minority. I myself am looking forward to when the Africans grow up and we start winniing Track and field gold medals lol.
