I've been to both of the previous ones at the York Hall, both were really good nights out with a great atmosphere and loads of drama although they're obviously not for the purists.
I'm unsure about going to this one because I was going to be watching the Hatton PPV with the bloke I usually go with and also I haven't seen any of the fighters involved before (unless I've seen them on an undercard and don't remember). I think it's too soon after the last one and they haven't had the opportunity to give it a decent build up. They only confirmed the participants last week and I can't help feeling that Sky pressurised Hearn into putting it on quickly to prop up the Hatton PPV.
Will probably go along anyway though as £40 for the balcony seats 20ft away from the ring makes it a no brainer.

Yeah dont think Hearn wanted it on PPV, wanted to do a normal card with Rendall Munroe I believe but Sky put the brakes on. Apparently its getting good viewing figures so I reckon it will continue for a while still.

I think they are having them WAY too often.
A good concept, but like 20-20, familiarity breeds contempt.
the lineup looks decent. i didn't think the 2nd hw one was necessary. one every 3 or 4 months in different divisions would be ok

didnt rate the welterweight one as good as the two heavyweight ones

I agree. They only had the Welterweight one last month.

I think that any lower than welter would be a bit tedious and would rely too much on the judging. Welter just about got away with it but there was still the decision where Wright should have won (from where I was sitting I think the judges were unsighted in the key round and scored a lot of Lomax's blocked shots as landing).
I would have Heavy, Light Heavy, Middle and Welter about every 3 months. To be fair I think they're not far off. This will be the fourth since April, it just happens that two have been at HW. I also think they wouldn't have had this one for a couple of months had Sky not pressured Matchroom into it.

Not sure of the line up really. A couple of decent lads involved but a couple with no hope, if they want a couple of filler fighters they should get em who are bangers just to make it more exciting.

I think they ought to give more of an incentive than £25k - perhaps £15k and a guaranteed British title shot......
Perhaps two tournaments, say welter and middle on the same night, only four fighters in each, the semis being four rounds, the final six or eight

Yep. At least an English title shot or similar if you have other Brits involved.
