That should be the resultif Jack comes in on form ,the trouble with Sharkey was thathe sometimes lost to guys he should have beaten comfortably, Like rojas and the draw with Heeney.

Prime Leon would have a 50/50 chance.....Spinks did have a better punch...

Peak Spinks was pretty good, but I would pick Sharkey in a tougher than anticipated fight.

I would dispute that. Spinks only knocked out 14 of 46 opponents and only two of them, Evangelista and Mercado, were even second-tier men. Sharkey did even worse statistically, with 13 of 55, but he fought far more top men and knocked out Loughran, Delaney, McTigue, and Maloney.
Also, Sharkey certainly had the better chin.

Inconsistent though Sharkey was he would be far too much for Spinks.
At the end of the day Spinks heavyweight resume hangs on a single win against a once great champion with brain damage. Outside of that win I am not sure that he even proved himself to be world class.

Well whatever has hapened to him since nothing is going to take away that magic moment when he stood there with the world at his feet as the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the world.
Eight fights into his career and against seemingly impossible odds. Just imagine the high.
