Chavez already broke his record.

Chavez already broke his record.

Ok so who will have a chance to break Chavez record?

Basing it on the intended battle of the undefeated:

Calzaghe/Kessller = Kesller
Floyd/Hatton = Floyd
Taylor/Pavlik = Taylor

The rest we don't know who they are fighting yet . . . so we can't make an intelligent choice.

Oh Cotto/Mosley = I'm leaning on Mosley but I'll be happy if Cotto wins it.

0 loss means one thing, level 2 competition

You talking about Mayweather, don't you?

Abraham of course. Outta the active fighters most likely Paul Williams. He'll most likely have his first defense against a nobody.

His record is probably the hardest record to break in boxing today. That and Louis's 25 defenses.

Probably Calzaghe.

Probably Calzaghe.

The problem with Mrarciano record is that he retired undefeated while
Chavez finaly lost a few times at the end of his career.

Arthur Abraham and Paul Williams.

Abraham because he is fighting nobody of consequence for the rest of the year.

Williams because no fight is scheduled yet, and most likely all the other big names aside from Margarito will be unavailable until next year.

Abraham is the most likely out of the two because there might be a possibility of a rematch with Margarito. And while I think Williams wins again, his chance is much less than Abraham with his next fight.

Has to be Juan Diaz - who the fuck is he fighting next?

The rest seems to be taking on risky fight s next.

He's taking on Julio Diaz supposedly. I'd consider him to be more of a threat than Abraham's opponent Khoren Gevor(who?).

I picked

PBF, Diaz, Povetnik, Williams, and Kessler.

Wasn't Marciano's record limited to the Heavyweights? I'm sure there have been others to retire undefeated with more wins, no? :think

Marciano's competition was top. Ricardo Lopez' competition was not level 2. Mayweather's competition hasn't been level 2.

I expect Calzaghe and Mayweather to maintain their 0's but both will have to be at their best.

Though I would like Hatton to win it would be a pleasure to see Mayweather pushed to the limit and still win using his pure, old school boxing technique.

Calzaghe will have to fight at an even higher pace than against Lacy for 12 rounds against Kessler but will have too much for him in terms of style. I feel Kessler will run out of ideas after a few rounds but his jab will keep him in the fight and he's always dangerous.

Calzaghe, Mayweather, Williams... plus Povetkin and Abraham based on the fact they wont fight anybody capable of beating them.

Yeah, as long he continues to stay himself.

Williams is a shoo in, since he probably won't fight anyone else this year, and if he does, it will be a scrub.

Marciano's competition was top. Ricardo Lopez' competition was not level 2. Mayweather's competition hasn't been level 2. Marciano's competition maybe top during his era but if compared to all eras, it is at the bottom, together with that of Holmes.

His biggest wins are against a 37 yr old Louis and light heavyweights Moore and Charles (whom he struggled).

Tyson beat Holmes and oblitereated Spinks with absolute ease. That together with a list of huge solid fighters like Tucker, Ruddock, Golota and Bruno. And I considered Tyson's opposition not so good among HW ATG.

Kessler has better opposition on his record than calz. Kessler will still undefeated.:D

Come Nov. 3rd, Calzaghe will have another so-called 'bum' on his record:yep

Where is Chad Dawson? He's probably worthy of a mention, maybe a strong mention depending on whom he fights next month.

Yezzir, and will still be undefeated after he knocks Kelly out :DAre you serious??? Do you actually think he can knock Kelly out?? Much better chance of Kelly knocking Jermain out.
