they are both the same size inbetween 190-200 and prime lamotta has never been knocked down ,prime marciano has come off the canvas to win. two similar styles, builds and mental toughness along with the will to win or die trying who takes this victory and how?

Marciano, by knockout, in the first round.

They are both the same size?? Surely you must be talking about the size of their noses.

no way, thats not happening at least not in the first round .i mean jake only has the greatest chin ever .the man is world wide renowned for taking punishment and eating it like candy. as well as does marciano, but the rock has been knocked down.

But Jake never fought at heavyweight.

Marciano KO1 if they fought, is the OP trying to ask if theoretically Lamotta was 190-200lb HW what would happen? Then Marciano wide UD

Non-sense

Marciano KO within 3.

No disrespect to Jake, but Marciano would have no trouble finding him and Rocky's firepower is immensely better than anyone Jake ever fought.

This would be like Mancini-Chacon ...

all im trying to say is that they are both in their prime and they are both heavies. marcianos been down before and came back to win, lamottas never seen the canvas and has also came back to win from way behind. so now without the bs comments whats the outcome?

Dempsey1238

as much of a lamotta fan as i am rocky would destroy him

shommel
11-17-2008, 10:28 AM
how do you see this destruction going and how long will it take for rocky to destroy jake?

The Rock stops him in the 1st round...

Rocky would brutalise him, no doubt about it. But this Lamotta would get knocked out in 1 business is absurd.

Pretty much.

Nice way of putting it. :good

Jake couldn't hurt Rocky in any way, but Rocky certainly could (and would) hurt Jake.

This wouldnt be a plausible matchup in reality or in anybody's wildest dreams. Marciano would slaughter Jake, crack his chin with ease and end it in 2 rounds.

Rocky had the horsepower of lennox and Foreman in a small frame....Jake would hit the canvas before 3 in this one...mistake Jake

i put it through the simulator.....fightnight round 2

and it seems jake wins2-3

1st lamotta stops marciano with a cracking left jab while both men are tired round 4
2nd maricano blows his steam after knoking lamotta down early and has nothing left lamotta destorys rocky in round 5
3rd rocco bombs out the game lamotta in 2 rounds

as big l put it "i got the wildstyle always been a foul chiled,my guns go boom boom while your guns go powpow"

But Jake never fought at heavyweight.

Jake started out at light heavy. In real life, Marciano might only have had 15 pound on Lamotta. If you give Lamotta 2 extra inches and 15 pounds, I'd still pick Marciano.

Lamotta was not a good puncher at middle. His skills are a tad under rated though.

At any rate, I'd pick Rocky.

The joke is the twenty five pounds or less between them is a lot smaller than the gap Rocky would face against a Liston or a Foreman or a Lewis ... Maybe it is not such an outrageous thread if you look t it that way ... if the reason every pulls for Rocky is size it should work against Rocky against bigger heavyweights ...

shommel

damn its not that hard to follow even if it is a ridiculous stupid hypothetical post. they are both heavy weights at the same time same era(no one is bigger they are both the same size and close enough of same record) as for jakes power as a middle he kod some good light heavies. now all im saying is that jakes whole carreer he is campaining as a heavy and so is marciano. so whos winning?
