He is just to big and mobile for anybody

he lost to mir already. he can still get subbed on the ground. gonzoga would kick his head off too.

Submission fighters can catch him, like Frank Mir proved, but his size and strength (topped by his speed) will make him a tough opponent for anyone. His wrestling credentials are legit.

Remember when people actually had debates about Lesnar vs. Kimbo as if it would have been close :patsch

I don't mean this in a bad way, but is Lesnar clean or juiced?

I believe Tim Sylvia could beat Brock Lesnar as he is probably the best striker in the heavyweight division. Before going into the fight, I had a feeling Couture would lose because of the layoff for one year and add to the fact that Brock is too big for him. Had Randy been active, he could have won the fight.

He's clean now, but there's no doubt he was juicing back in the day.

Racist. You're only asking that question because Brock is white.

It's not a standup thing. Sylvia has a shitty ground game and long, skinny legs. Lesnar would take him down in about .5 seconds. There's only one man with the style to dominate Brock...and we all know his name.

I will repeat a thread I made earlier. Make Gonzaga vs Lesnar with the winner fighting Nog or Mir. I think Gonzaga could make a hell of a fight with him.

Actually it's 'cos this was my first UFC PPV and I couldn't believe a guy that height and build could be THAT heavy through a natural dietary regime. But now I know better. Fuck, David Haye needs to get some tips from Lesnar; they are the same height after all.

Kimbo takes off his glass chin, throws it at Lesnar, and cuts him badly enough to stop the fight

Brock destroys nog, cripples him and brutalizes him.

Only then for Nog battered and bruised to pull of a submission.

Isnt there a super heavyweight division in the UFC? I remember there used to be. Brock should be in that division.

Nope never was, Brock comes in at the heavyweight limit, so its legit.

Nog will probably sub him quickly. Not like it matters though since the guy is made of steel and won't be KO'd. Even survived a Bob Sapp piledriver.

Theres a ton of fighters that would beat him really. Fedor, Werdum, Gonzaga, Overeem, Sergei, Aleks and more blah blah. At least the Randy over hype is gone though.

I'd personally like to see Lesnar vs Carwin after he loses to Nog. I think thats the match up they should've done before this but obviously this was a bigger moeny fight for the UFC.

Sorry, I guess I should have done a better job of indicating that I was being sarcastic. That nonsense about racism actually came out of Lesnar's mouth when he was being asked about steroids by a reporter. Instead of answering the question he got pissy, started whining and then stormed off.

Like Tko4 wrote, he may be clean now, but it's pretty obvious that he was on gear in the past.

Whats with this Nog beats Brock?? Nog barely escaped with his life against Bob Sapp when Nog was in his prime and although Sapp was bigger than Brock, he was stiff and cannot strike and nowhere near the athlete.

How long have you guys been watching MMA? Are you talking about this Nog? the half dead version of Nog that the UFC and Dana is trying to resuscitate? The guy that Heath Herring defeated but Dana gave the signal to let the fight go on??

You guys need to give Brock the credit..I know you MMA purist are hurt.. Im not, and Ive watched UFC#1...Ive watch Olympic Gold medalist Mark Schultz take on Gary Goodridge on a weeks notice and dismantle him..and he was past his prime. I like the game to evolve and have the best in the world. Believe me Im not naive enough to think that MMA has the best athletes in the world. When they can start paying 1 million dollars per fight, you'll see more world class athletes in their "prime" join in. You make it seem like Brock is some young cat that killed a legend, Brock is 31 years old arguably past his prime as well.

Give props to Brock, he was from WWE but hes as legit as they come.

The sheer irony of this is that nobody's bothered to ask Randy Couture how he packed on 20 pounds of pure muscle in his 40's .

Don't get me wrong, I'm certain Brock was on something before (could've been tonight, but he looked a little "deflated" compared to his WWE days)- it's just funny because alot of fighters are on them, they just all don't look as cartoonish as Lesnar or Randleman.

I agree and to think Brock will be an easy sub victim again is a bit naive and he is quickly getting better.

I wanna see Tim Sylvia vs Lesnar. Gonzaga vs Lesnar. Kongo vs Lesnar. Cro Cop vs Lesnar. But there are four guys that I know would beat his ass are Nog, Arlovski, Barnett and ummm ------- FEDOR!

I'm not sure besides Fedor how "you know" they will beat his ass Nog was lucky to survive Herring and Sylvia and I'm not sure he will get by Mir and I think AA and Barnett would be great fights.

Nog beat Herrings ass for 14 out of 15 minutes of that fight. Mir will get his ass knocked out standing next time he fights brock.

Brock is a bad man obviously. Id give the good strong BJJ guys like Nog,Mir,Gonzaga the best shot if they can get hurt or taken down they are smart enough and skilled enough to maybe slide a knee in when Brock has seem in side control so they can pull guard and hes still very green there. Gonzaga to me would be the most interesting all around fight due to Gonzagas own size and strength and his heavy hands and feet along with his World Championship BJJ skills.

I think Brock can only be defeated through submission. The man has a tough chin and head. He even survived a fall with his neck first.

What nationality is Lesnar? Is he German, Scandanavian heritage or something? He is like a gorilla.

I have to give him credit, Lesnar was wrote off as a joke losing his first UFC fight so quick and being a pro wrestler.

But really Lesanr was the best amateuer wrestler in the 'United States'. He always had a strong fundamental base to move to MMA. There has been so many very successful amatuer werstlers from eastern europe at the 'World' level, some even make Lesanr look like Micky Mouse. But none have ever turned pro unfortunatly.

That guy is Egyptian, I couldn't care less that he got knocked out. Ibrahim fought a stupid fight. He is a World class wrestler who fought like he was a boxer, when he has no boxing experiance or skill. So, he got knocked out.

At the 2008 Olympics, Russia won 11 medals (6 Gold) in Wrestling. The United States won 3 total medals in Wrestling. Ukraine won 5 medals, Kazakhstan won 5 medals, Georgia won 4 Medals, Bulgaria won 4 medals. The United States is so badly far behind Eastern Europe, which dominates amatuer wrestling. It would be nice to see some of these wrestlers try out MMA.

I agree, just making the point that its not only his wrestling ability that makes Brock Brock.
