I didnt know who to pick between Randy & Brock but well done to Brock, if you beat Randy, you deserve praise.
Assuming Antonio Nogueira gets by Frank Mir then I think Lesnar is gonna find out what its like to go againsy 1 of the top 2 HWTs not just right now but ever in MMA... I am of course referring to Nogueira (Fedor is the current & all time no1 but Nog is defo 2nd)
I can see Brock being all over Nog for about 3 or 4 rds but unable to finish him then getting either gullotine chocked or arm-barred... there is no tougher fighter or better submission fighter in MMA than Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira & subs are Brocks main weakness..... 5 rds is too long for the big guy to not get caught by the Brazilian master & I dont think Brock has what it takes to do what Fedor & many others could not... stop Nogueira.
Nogueira Submission Rd 4 Lesnar
Ps. For the record, I think Brock would do way better than last time vs Mir who I dont rate as highly as Nog, thats another reason I hope Nog beats Mir - that & the fact that Nog is my fav fighter, who would have thought eh ?

"was" a whole different game.
But he hasn't been the same since 2005. I'm not even sure he'll be able to pass Mir. Nogueira's last (most impressive performance) was against Josh Barnett (in both fights ).
Ok , he pulled it off against Sylvia , but he's not the same anymore imo.
But i'l be rooting for him and i really hope to see him beating the odds and owning everyone in the hw division.

Yet his statement was still correct: Noriega would, indeed, get beaten badly by Lesnar.
I think Lesnar will likely beat Mir and Nogueira both though. Kinda sad..

Nogueria is definitely an entirely different challange than Couture, and a much harder match for Lesnar.
Also a Mir is still incredibly dangerous to Lesnar, people are forgetting that while yes Brock has gotten better since then, Mir also now knows what he is up against, he was fighting a guy who nobody knew.
From the guard, Mir is one of the most dangerous HW's ever, just because he is both technically sound but also has the power to really crush the sub, just look at him breaking Sylvia's arm, or doing a one handed Americana basicallly on Pete Williams.
It sounds like people are already picking NOG to beat Mir, I think mir can win this, even though Brock vs Nog would be a bigger fight.

Mir has no chance in hell of beating Nogueira. None.
As far as Lesnar/Nogueira goes, it should be a very interesting matchup, but I have to go with Nogueira in the later rounds by Submission. His phenomenal durability and ground skills will allow him to handle Brock's initial onslaught, and I see him catching him in a sub later in the fight, say the 3rd or 4th round.

I agree with this paragraph.
Ps. I HOPE your top line is true, Im always skeptical when HWTs are involved but Nog should & will start as favourite.
Dont ask me why but I want Nog/Fedor 4.
Go Nog :happy

It would be classic Nog him getting tossed around, slammed,KD and busted up on the verge of death unlike he pulls out some submission.

Mir definatly has a chance against Nog.
Outside of Fedor when has Nog looked his most vulnerable? Ricco, who should have won that decision, and subbed Nog in ADCC with a kneebar, and Barnett, who beat Nog and almost subbed him with that kneebar.
Mir, like Ricco and Barnett, is a big strong guy, excellent with leg and ankle locks, and applies subs with a quick, brutal style that most others cannot. Mir by leglock is a very real possibility for this fight.

Damn straight people dont relize Nog has struggled agianst other great grapplers. Mir is extremly crafty and smart not to mention very agile on the ground he has pulled over some amazing moves over the years. Believe me hes got Nogueiras style well scouted. IMO Mir is better on the ground although id favor Nog greatly standing and especially if this fight goes well into the 3rd and later rounds assuming its still 5 correct ?

Mir will destroy Nog then repeat his win against dud Lesner and become the UFC champ.

i have got to give it to Lesner he had a grwat game plan. he took the wresling clinch so Coture strking couldnt be used, Lesner used his strenght to stay on his feet, he wore Coture down with those knee's to the solarplexis and finished him.
i was impressed, if Lesner can keep nog on in a muay thai or wresling clinch i can see him damaging Nog, but i can also see nog high kicking lesner to the face, arm baring him, traingling him the list goes on.......
scott is cool

If Brock lands a big right on Nog' like he did to Coture and Herring and then dives on them like a Lion then I think even Nog's ground skills won't be able to save him. But remember I did say "If".

I think that Brock can keep the fight against Nog on their feet... and beat him.

I dont think Mir has the power to really trouble a guy like Nog nor the better ground game. Im going for Nog by RNC. Nog then goes onto get pounded by Lesnar for a round or so and then pulls out an arm or kneebar! :good

I think that the toughest match-up for Brock in the UFC right now is Gonzaga.
