Luke Campbell became England's first European amateur champion for 47 years

i've been really impressed with this kid. he's got good skills, very savy, brillient jab, combos, footwork. first saw him in the ABA championships where he took gold and just impressed with his all round skills

he's 21 years old and intends to go to 2012, i wish he would turn pro before then because he's a brillient prospect and it might be to late after 2012 with no guarenteed medal

anyone else seen him?

thoughts on his future?

Great talent.

First time I watched him was in the ABA's and he was by far the best boxer of the night.

Here's the final.

Good pro style, loves the jab and the sawpaw 1-2 and also the chopping left to the body.

Yep he seems a good prospect, well done to the lad.

Turn pro immediately.

No point staying in the amateurs and getting ripped off in his next tournament.

Sadly, that is how I feel now. The scoring in that final was a joke. 5 points scored after 4 rounds?

There is no point staying amateur.

The game doesn't actually reward good, clever boxing. The art of opening your opponent up and hitting with scoring shots.

It encourages holding, running, lunging, slapping, carelessness etc.
