This thread is ridiculous.

No point stating the obvious over and over again.

Lesnar is still a major work in progress.Just achieve alot quicker then expected.

with the physical tools and talent that brock has like him or not in a couple of years under the right guidance brock could be as good or better than fedor i just hope that fedor stays in good shape and in his prime so that in 3 or 4 years we can possibly see a super fight between an evenly matched brock and fedor that would be an awesome fight

In 4 years Fedor will be 36 and Brock 35. Fedor is in his prime now at 31/32, who knows when Brock has his prime, physically he's probally in it. What makes a great fighter is someone who can match up and couple their experience and technical proficiency with their physical prime. Some fighters mistime it, while still ending up as great fighters don't become all they could be.
Example, imagine if Hopkins had the technical knowledge and experience of today with the speed and KO power of his early 30s? He would have been an unstoppable monster.

Brock will develop experience and his skills later on in life, but perhaps this will serve no good as his physical power and prime pass him by.
Its going to be hard to keep that 280lb frame in peak shape, he's carrying around alot of muscle mass, that fades through time.

How long will Lesnar have before he needs to start shedding that bulk? How old is he now?

He's 31. Only about 10 months younger than Fedor.

Is it likley he will be able to maintain that size for long though, surely he will begin to gas earlier and earlier

According to GRAPPLING magazine, they list these heavyweights as the top ten in the world:

-Fedor Emelianeko
-Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera
-Josh Barnett
-Randy Couture
-Andrei Arlovski
-Tim Sylvia
-Fabricio Werdum
-Gabriel Gonzaga
-Ben Rothwell
-Aleksander Emelianenko

Myself, Sylvia is a joke that Lesnar would ground and pound to death, while Fedor's brother (whose ranked last) in my opinion doesn't have all the tools or the toughness that his brother has, so maybe he's dead even or below Lesnar.

Well clearly that is an old list, a revised one will surely have Lesnar included.

one win dosnt make you a top ten. huston alexander beat jardien and wasnt ranked top ten. why? because you have to prove it wasnt a fluke. when he loses to nog he will be 3-2 hardly a top ten. also if lesnar is ranked then mir has to be. i donno this hole thing fuckes the rankings but lesnar shouldnt be ranked until he fights another top ten considering he lost to a nonranked fighter not to long ago.
