What do you guys think about this upcoming Cleveland prospect Juan McPherson? He is currently 7-0-0 with 4 KOs and is only 23 years old

as an Amateur...

2003 Pan American Games (Silver)

he qualified for the 2004 Olympics, but was injured during the team trials against Berto and was unable to compete with the USA

i posted about him awhile back...whoever is handling his career is doing a terrible job. He was raved about as an amatuer and hyped as the best amatuer in the world. Then the controversial fight with berto, the medical disqualification, fast forward a few years and Berto is on HBO and fucking MCpherson is fighting the walk off fight on the Tyson farewell tour and has what, four fights? what a fucking waste.

I saw his third fight and he looked to be in great shape, was fast, had sharp punches, but didnt press the action enough against a much smaller opponent.

He needs fights, ASAP. He should be fighting every 2-3 months at least, he needs to pick it up. This guy was a legend in cleveland and "Keke" can do much better. Who's promoting him?

oh shit, just looked him up. 3 fights in 3 months...good for him. But I dont like seeing him fighting at 168. This guy needs to stay around 156-8 for fights until a fight against another prospect can be made at 154

yo man i see u from Cleveland too.. Boxing wise we on the come back... The Bey brothers n McPherson, with Raynell n Porter in the Amateurs should make the city a boxing powerhouse in the coming years..
