Hey guys hope all is well with everyone.

There has been alot of talk going on about me overpricing myself with shannon taylor.

I want to get things straight first. His manager offered me $3000 for the fight to fight in his home town.
Of course i was going to say no to that. That was a total insult because i can get more for defending the aussie title in my own area.

So guys i have not chickened out of the fight and i have definately not overpriced myself too.

I really want this fight to happen. The only way you guys will see this fight is that someone will put up the purse money that i want or for the blaster team to come to the table with a better offer.

cheers guys.

I dont blame ya Jnr..thats a bit of a joke.

They will come to the table one day, especially if the Choc fight does not go through.
If not..who cares the guy is piece of shit anyway.

What ball-park figure would they have to come up with for you to fight him in his backyard?

Yeah $3k to be honest is peanuts.

Shannan Taylor is completely shot as a fighter these days & when he faces someone remotely world class he will be handed a bad beating.

Jnr,

Word from Blasters camp is that the offer was for 10k. Not saying that is the truth. But it is a lot more than 3k.

I think I can settle this.

The offer was 10 grand. $3K cash and $7K of blow which Jnr must sell. Im suprised Taylor let that much go from his personal stash but desperate times I guess.

Is that 10k clear or to pay expenses out of it?

If it's for the Aussie title 10k aint much really.

FFS Les "MANBOOBS" Mason got $25k for his first pathetic fight :patsch

Yes but side shows and ex NRL players make more money than real fighters in Australia. :yep

I wasn't clear in what I posted previously. The 10k is what jnr is asking. Not what Taylors camp offered.

My mail says Jnr is asking for 10k to do the fight.

I guess jnr can set the record straight.

fair enough 10k seems fair they get a good crowd with junior fighting, and plus shannon would fancy his chances, and a loss against him would put junior back abit, but in reality junior if you win and do what all of us what you to do and thats knock him the fuck out you will gain so muhc more respect around australia and hopefully many more opportunities beyond these shores aswell...

If Junior wants 10k then as the oz champ there is no reason why he cant get that..10K definetly aint pricing himself out of the possible bout.

Shannon Taylor's a fucking scumbag..If the bout comes off attack Shannon Taylors Bourbon belly.

In this instance i can condone the use of chairs and bottles.lol

If you pay jnr 10k, what does Taylor get?? 20 grand? He has the belts and it's his promotion. You are looking at 30k minimum for a regional title fight. How many promoters can afford that these days? aren't they all going broke?

Last I checked, despite how many shire supporters he has, jnr is an up and coming challenger with a suburban following. 3k was ridiculous but good luck getting 10k anywhere else in Oz.

I'm not a Taylor supporter btw. But IF... jnr isn't prepared to accept less than that to face a guy as faded as Shannon Taylor then it makes you wonder how much confidance he has.

sounds good to me. I don't have an interest in either camp.

But Jnr turned down the fight. 3k, 10k, whatever. He didn't want to fight. You think he wants a winner take all contract???

If he was that confidant, he'd beat Taylors ass for 3k and be done with it.

Maybe the credit crunch is now hitting boxing as well :hey

They did say the Calzaghe v Jones PPV's numbers were disappointing.

Perhaps taking a closer look at things Jnr shld split the difference and ask for $6500 to fight a washed up Taylor. :yep

Yeah Jrn didnt mention the 10k figure. He just said he didnt agree to 3k. As a solid up and comer who currently holds a national title i dont blame him..

3k for a big domestic fight is pathetic..

It actually came from Taylors camp. Maybe it is bs.

With all due respect, it's ok to say he didn't want to take short change to fight Shannon, but what happened after he was offered 3k? did he just walk away or did he ask for more?

Jnr had no problem coming here and revealing how much he was offered. That's fair enough. I just have a hard time thinking that negotiations ended when he knocked back 3 grand.

Again, Jnr can set it straight. Is he still around? lol

Whats so hard about negotiations ending due to purse dispute??

Jrn can earn more then what Taylor's team is offering.Plain and Simple.
