So many people are saying he will lose. I think you will be suprised by ricky in this one. Im picking him to win spectacularly with a fourth round knockout, then its on to paquio

I have not..

I never used to be a supportor of Ricky Hatton's, but for some reason i am now. In defeat sometime's.....thats the only time you can see the true strength of charactor in any athlete....sometimes.

Thats why i admire Amir Khan for aleast trying to turn himself around, the next day going to his gym etc...

I like Ricky Hatton as a fighter, but 90% of his fans are fucking silly twats, who know nothing really.

I think he will destroy Malignaggi.

Paulie has been given two gifts in his last two fights - Hatton won a clear (though hard fought) UD in his last fight against a tough opponent.

Cause of his performance against Lazcano and then the subsequent change of trainers etc is why people have lost faith. But as far as this fight goes Paulie struggled against his last two opponents who are poor mans Hattons.
I think if Ricky can get on top and keep firing the shots off a KO is possible or a UD. Paulie just wont hurt Hatton and hes not exactly had to hit himself

Because recently, Castillo fight aside, he's looked a bit ropey in there. He's been fighting like someone on a decline.

I'm still totally backing to beat Malinaggi, though. And hoping he puts in his best performance since Tsyzu.

Good point that. I find myself going against Hatton not cos I dislike him (he seems a top top fella) or cos I think he's a shit boxer, while not being amongst the top 5 p4p i still think he's up there i (yes he has his limitations and you can question his record as with most FW fighters) but because of all these people who suddenly become boxing fanatics when hatton fights but who'm dont even know who manny pacquiao is!!

Before the appointment of Mayweather Sr. I was predicting a UD or even a late stoppage by Malignaggi on accumulation.

I thought Hatton looked awful against Lazcano, he was taking way too many shots and was definitely hurt at one point and the 'shoelace incident' maybe saved him. In my opinion he peaked in the Tszyu fight.

Since the change in trainer I'm on the fence. I'm not sure whether you can teach an old dog new tricks or whether we will see a different Hatton.

Going to be very interesting to see which Hatton turns up.

Can't lose the faith if you never had it in the first place.

I have a feeling that once Hatton is in the ring all this new training will be out of the window.I think where Malignaggi is concerned the tried and tested Hatton tactics of trying to march through an opponent for 12 rounds are the order of the day as Malignaggi will be back pedalling all fight. If he has learned a more polished style then it will only surface against a boxer who wants to engage Hatton more!

Actually it was 2 KOs in 5 fights (4 wins) at light welter going into the Hatton fight, that and the KO percentage at 135 tends to suggest that he was at least a respectable puncher at 140.

I guess i just expected a heavier puncher to be giving ricky them problems. To be honest, i thought he'd just walk through him.
