Unfortunately yes.

Well to be honest he is a big step up from the jokes Mundine is fighting at the moment. Also Pittman was doing OK until the cut in the fight with sturm so who knows how he will do.

Good on him :happy

He came across Humble and respectful.

I hope it happens for him and he takes his opportunity well.

Good on him. Anthony has 0 excuses for delving to deepest darkest Argentina in search for an opponent. Plus, Pittman is a middleweight...

Decent fight i spose.

There will always be an Aussie fighter wanting a piece of the Man.

Go give him a beating Anthony

Interesting fight....Pitman comes forward strongly with lots of jabs and will give mundine some trouble.....on that basis Mundine will fight S Taylor.

How does everybody think Geale, Pittman and Dawson wld go against the likes of Crazy Kim and the South Americans Mundine has faced recently??

Would our Trio easily defeat these guys?

If i was a Pittman etc i wld try and fight the same guys after Mundine has just to prove a point.

id take pitman for sure, i also agree he was doin well against sturm when they fought.
its hard to say if Geale and Pitman would beat all the imports. most were at 168 so they are bigger.

Question is would you want to see this fight

I'd rather see Bika v. Mundine, but given the quality of opponent Mundine is likely to come up with for his next fight, hell yeah!

Its Mundine v Taylor
I know it looks like this fight is close to being done :patsch

Taylor at his best was a Welterweight around 1998-2001 . . . Now they will fight at Middleweight in 2009 :(

Taylor was all but out against Seran whos record was 8 wins 5 defeats coming into the bout, imagine was Choc will do to him . . . Hopefully Shannan holds on to a decision which might not be that hard considering Mundine couldnt knock out a 6 year old these days. . .

How will Mundine defend this call? Shannan isnt rated at all by anyone these days :fire

i dont think mundine, would really think about fighting him,
but if he beats geale, which i think he could, maybe then he could land the fight with mundine

Does anyone think Mundine will fight a meaningful fight before he retires ? Or just the usual unheard of South Americans or past it Aussies.

Mandy always knew guys like Bika would eventually come knocking on his door so he ran south to middle after the dipicable ducking of Kessler , Pittman would come unstuck v Mandy however but he should at least prove he's the best Middle in Australia before he and his moronic fans declare him a world beater at his new weight . :deal PS Hatton stops hair cut 100 late . about the 9th ..

Mandy should fight someone good...the best fight he can get at MW. If he cannot get a better fight than Pittman, he should at least fight him...instead of another Argentinian cabbie who is even less good than Pittman.

I think he'll fight Shannon Taylor next Josey. Another fight which makes it harder and harder for his fans to defend him.

Good win for Ricky today but, i was impressed Yes Dazza Ricky fought well , that switch from the preacher to Mayweather snr paid off big style this morning , SNR reminded Hatton of the skills that got him to the top of the tree in the first place , sadly after Ricky changed tactics to out brawl Kostya he kept that mindset to the detrement of his career ending in a sad KO at the hands of Snr's son Young Floyd , Hatton fans always knew he was a skillful BOXER who had lost his way trying to get big money fights @ 147 lbs when in reality he had no buisness fighting @ that weight , Hatton is tough to beat @ 140lbs and if he can stay off the piss he can have an Indian summer ending to his career imo . Pac v Hatton Dazza ? what a fight that would be mate :deal

Def right about the grog but Ricky has already made it clear he wont get off it which i think is a shame . . . I like Ricky but honestly this is what separates good fighters like Ricky to the absolute top class like a Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Mayweather . . . Absolutely dedicate their life to the sport, they are basically never off weight and def don't drink, eat bad shit . . . Ricky cant even get off it just to ride out the rest of his career, but its his life/career so his choice?

Yeah Hatton Vs Pac is the fight to see @ 140 . . . A much better fight then De La Hoya/Pac that's for sure its more even . . . They say a De La Hoya Hatton fight is huge which it is but don't tell me Pac VS Hatton at Wembely isn't going to do massive numbers, esp if Pac can get past De La Hoya Dec 6.

Yeah Ricky fought well, i was impressed with his composure more than anything else.

At times he was getting tagged fairly easy, lucky for him Paulie didnt have too much pop in his punches. Paulie looked like a real tough fighter to look impressive against.

Hatton v Cotto, Dela Hoya or Pacman would all be great fights

Pittman beats Mundine - and to answer someones question - Pitty is willing to fight Mundine for absolutely ZERO purse, sure he will make sponsorship money etc but Mundine will have to part with absolutely ZEROOOO $$$$.

Ya can't get a fairer deal than that.

I admit i have zero chance of beating Mundine. I admire that you support your favourite boxer, i just hate it when people talk rubbish. I respect Pittman for stepping up to the plate against Sturm and maybe Mundine, but i just think he is nowhere near that level and i think you would find it hard to find many people who would give Pittman a chance.
