I think he needs to add 10-15lbs to the weight he had in the barrett fight, especially if he goes against vitali

Yeah it worked for Danny Williams.

Yeah it worked for Danny Williams.

Only a bit of weight, not an enormous amount, just a bit to up his durability and power without losing much speed

Danny williams wouldnt have beat vitali if he came in at peak condition and vitali was blindfolded

How much of that extra weight will be adaptable regarding speed and volume/POWER ? How much will determine this person on there feet and general physical movement ?

"Its working so far......"

Hairy :bbb

Why is adding 10lbs going to aid his power? It's not just a case of adding weight and you gain power, its playground logic.

Haye isn't going to need to be carrying more lbs when he's trying to get past Wlad's laser like jab. He needs speed and athleticism combined with the power he's already got.

Even if his power magically increased because he added 10lbs it would be completely negated by the loss of speed.

Haye gets his power from his natural ability and athleticism, adding weight might actually make him less effective.

I was concerned that Haye would bulk up to a musclebound monster, but he looked pretty lean (by today's heavyweight standards) against Monte Barrett.
I hope he stays as he is.

The winner of this famous fight weighed 187 pounds, and was fighting someone nearly the exact same size as Vitali....speed and movement is the key, putting on weight only degrades these attributes. The video is definately worth watching

or 3 or 54 would be best of both worlds. 3 might not be enough, whilst 5 could be too much.

I dont fancy his chances much with Wlad either lol. But he would have a shot.

Vitali is a much tougher fight...he can take it and dish it out.

Vitali is a much tougher fight...he can take it and dish it out.He certainly proved it in the Lewis fight, but that was a long time ago.

I believe his current status has been flattered by the poor state of the heavyweight scene, and somebody like Haye could possibly make him look rather ordinary.

True, but the link was to demonstrate that sometimes weight up to a point is meaningless.

Well his fight with Peter proved hes still got alot left. He was far and away the best Heavyweight 2nd only to Lewis. Nobody has really been able to counter his style, chin and power.

We all know about Haye's offence but the chin department will decide this fight. Vitali takes some of Haye's shots..but what happens to Davids chin when he starts getting picked off by Vitali?

David Haye should not gain weight, the weight he was for barrett is fine. He has speed on his side which no other heavweight does.
