I Didn't see the fight yet, did hatton look better than last time or was paulie just terrible?
Did Ricky show enough to threaten the winner of de-la hoya v pac man

very small improvement
Small improvements. I could see he was trying to implement things Sr has been teaching him, they weren't perfect or completely natural but better than his dive in hook and hold approach we've seen recently.
Hatton would have won that fight with no adjustments, we'll get a real idea of how much he's improved in one of those fights.

The "old" Hatton would have beaten Paulie but, at the very least, he showed more composure and that the stamina "problem" that some people thought he might have may be overstated.
I'm not sure about the stamina. Hatton looked fresh, but let's face it the fight was fought at entirely his own pace, and he was only hit by pitter pat punches that take nothing out of you.
Lazcano looked much physically stronger in the clinches and hit pretty hard in comparison.
Maybe the new camp helped, I think we'll have a better idea in his next fight.

a little improvement, but malignaggi didnt throw no right hands and has no power and looked pretty awful . but he hit hatton with alot of jabs.

I think we can at least give Hatton a pass (for now) on the "horribly shot to bits", "worrying lack of punch resistance" and "declining stamina" thing, eh?;)
My only worry with Hatton is that if you take his last 4 four fights and ignore the last one and the fourth one then you can clearly see signs of a fighter falling to pieces.

Yes I think there was an improvement and he outjabed Pauli a lot of the time. There were a small few changes and perhaps the best you can hope for in just a 7 week training camp. It was hard to tell though as Pauli was only really throwing the jab, and clinging on to avoid any mid range stuff.
Who said he was shot to bits though? Only that there were worrying signs against Lazcano, and there were...lets not bury our heads in the sand. He was really tired when stamina is supposed to be one of his biggest attributes, and he was hurt pretty bad by a guy he might not have been previously, maybe because of stamina. He stumbled into the shots like a drunk man.
Why was this the case one fight before? I'm thinking Lazcano was stronger, and had enough meat on his shots to wear Hatton down unlike Faggi.
All I'm saying is stamina for 12 hard rounds that he might need against a Pac/Marquez is different to one where you dominate everything and get hit with powder puffs.
The signs are encouraging that running in the desert has helped his conditioning over punching the shit out of a cushion on Graham's chest. But I'm not certain yet.

That's usually a line from a Calzaghe-hater.
Hmm, yeah. But Calzaghe's really do take something out of you when he throws 1000 of them with both hands from all angles :yep

He`s victory over Paulie merely highlighted what he is capable of against a non puncher which was quite conclusive since his WBU days.

What i did notice was a guy getting hit alot. Getting punched back will naturally take a lot away from his peformance. That for me was quite clear through the Lazcano bout.

hard to tell paulie malanaggi didnt do anything he only came to pick up the cheque, i think people should have been more sensible in who they picked more people should have realised that paulie looked shit he should actually have 4 losses on his record i have ndou and Ngoudjo beating him on points both these gentlemen had paulie badly hurt in there respective fights. But never the less hatton showed that he still has a little bit of juice left

a bigger puncher like ricardo torres is some 1 hatton needs to step up to if hes to silence any doubter.

Matter of fact Shane at his ripe old age was penciled in to fight Margo. Margo declined so Shane is now fighting Andre Berto. Not bad for a guy that started at 135 aye. Meanwhile "little Ricky" ran back to 140 .. and fights .... Paulie.

The man's limitations at 147 are well known, documented and discussed. Let's not go over that again. You have no love for him, we know. Live with it.

Improvements, I dunno. About the main difference I picked up on was his control of the distance. He stayed outside of Paulie's jab well, backing off occasionally, and picked his spots to close the distance, instead of charging in at every single opportunity.
But in my opinion he used to do this anyway, it's more 'eradicating a bad habit' than 'improving'.
He certainly looked fresher than he has though, and his confidence seemed to flood back.
Oh and he landed quite a lot of lead right hands, effective ones.
