Jackiewicz makes first defence of crown he won by Beating Bonsu
can he beat Slovenian Zaveck. What if anything is known about Zaveck he must surely be up against it in Rafal's home country, can he do it?

Have you seen Zaveck guys, what do you think, Jackiewicz seems to have improved any may get a title shot if he can keep winning

Also on the card Bonin challenges for Polish Heavy crown against Wcwrzyk this seems a decent fight as well for the Polish crowd

What do you all think if anything

HOrrible match up,micky!

The Pole is a very boring fighter, and so is Zaveck.Neither the Pole nor the Sl owenian possess a truly telling punch.Guess I will get bored silly watching their fight.
Zaveck will probably win this upcomming fight as his Polish foe is even more limited than him.

Give me some info on Zaveck.

Feather fisted, good stamina, high workrate, leaky defence, more often on the attack than on the defence, good runner,a little bit stiff and one-dimensional,not the most versatile fighter out there. To sum it up a decent prize fighter who enters a ring to put up a good show of boxing, but his limitations will prevent him from winning a world title. He is no match for any of the top dogs of his weight division.

It was a close fight but I thought Zaveck deserved the nod

unlike what odo said, this was not a boring matchup.

it was a very technical fight at a very high pace. good eastern euro style boxing.........tight guard on both sides, both taking turns trying to open up the others guard or countering.

both really giving it their all.

having said that, i too had zaveck ahead, but lots of rounds were close. i have to watch it again to say more.

Not quite. The Pole is actually a good technical boxer, what he lacks is power (featherfisted) and speed. Zaveck on the other hand is more limited in the technical department as was evidenced by him landing mostly on the guard and less effectively, however he has good stamina, workrate and has some pop, def more so than Jackiewicz.

It was a close fight were you had volume of punches of Zaveck vs accuracy of Jackiewicz. I gave it to Zaveck by 2 rounds. It was a bit controversial I have to say.

Andrzej Wawrzyk...is he any good? He won a wide decision over Bonin?

Rafal has been worked over by hometown decisions more than once.

One came back his way.

Wawrzyk is the future of the Polish HW division. He's tall 6'5 and about 230 lb, very good boxing skills as for 21 year old and has some power (KO'd Duiven who went to the cards with O.Solis). Bonin ain't no Chagaev, but he is a veteran and Wawrzyk performance was quite impressive. Fighting in USA or Germany with better rivals should serve him well.
