I think he will have made plenty of improvements to Khan......
But it will all go straight out of the window once the bell rings - he is, still, essentially a novice, and the fighting brain of a goldfish.
The way to beat him is simply jump on him, throw all kinds of shots to head and body - because his chin is awful and he cannot fight on the inside full stop!
Whether Fagan can do that I don't know having not seen him, but by Boxrecing he hardly looks like a pudding, so I will look forward to it.

I expect him to have shown no improvements but win by stoppage mid fight.

From the videos I saw, I don't think Roach helped Khan tackle his main deficiencies. The things they concentrated on will not make Khan a better fighter. Khan knows he's made a mistake and will try not to repeat it, and that has nothing to do with Roach either. However, training with Roach and Pacquiao in Las Vegas will have inspired Khan and given him his confidence back, whilst taking away all the pressure he was under. In my view, Khan needs a trainer who will concentrate on him and get to know him inside out. Roach is not that man. He doesn't have the time or energy to commit to Khan fully. In the meantime, the change of air will have done Khan a world of good. If I were him, I'd stay in Las Vegas and train and spar there but with a trainer who is prepared to focus on me 100%. Roach could still act like his mentor.

He'll have told Khan not to come out at the first bell and start swinging. He'll have told him to take a couple of rounds and try and get a measure of what his opponent can do.

Roach is busy with a real fighter FFS Khans just on holiday there, the arrogant punk is talking about how he has a good chin and "sparring" proves it, he will be KOed again nicley soon enough.
does that mean he used to get KO'd in sparing ?
Im not sure Roach is the right man for Khan.
Its been said a million and one times Khan needs to work on his defense as he has always had an excellent offense prehaps one of the mayweathers would have been a better choice for him?

Jab and move, Double Jab, 3 and 4 combos. Roach kinda loves his Jab and thinks its his best weapon. And at Lightweight with his height and reach he bloody should work off it.

I would like to see Khan jab is heart out and fight for 12 rounds, i want to see head movement so he can slip shots, be more cooler headed and take his time.

You always hype Khan's opponents, though, jeff, and they lose almost every time.;)

Khan`s best defence will be his jab. More fighters should be taught this lesson. Roach will not try to change khan radically but he will know that if khan is hit clean and hard he will go down. Was it Khan who was saying that he was chinny because in sparring he was not getting hit and therefore wasn`t used to it? If it was then it is daft-talk.
Khan also needs to keep his hands up and use the early rounds to weaken his opponent. I think its too late to teach him better head movement but if he is a good learner then it would be a good long term project.
I think Khan will win some massive bouts , spectacularly, but i also think he will lose others, ignominiously. One thing is for sure, it won`t be a dull ride.
BTW the word from the Wildcard is that he was a great guy and sparred brilliantly with Pacquiao. However he hated Hollywood and missed his friends and family.

Anyone seen episode 2 of ODLH Pacman 24/7, they've got clips of Khan and Pacman sparring on it and they looked to be going all out at each other, and if Khan could knock him down he won $1000, was pretty good to watch Khan in there with one of the top guys.
There is no doubting his offensive abilities, he has all the tools to go all the way, it's just that questionable chin, but like someone has sad before me - it will be entertaining watching him try and get to the top, just like it will be with David Haye, although at this moment in time i'd back Haye to do it if i had to choose one.

Every credit....I hope Khan does well but it doesn't help that he keeps fighting guys that I like... Maybe they should match him with .... Zelenoff then i'll be right behind him.

It can be seen and its already known that Roach likes his speed and will make him live behind his jab. He's also trying to help him use his feet better and block punches more.
I have no doubt Khan has the talent to do anything he wants in training BUT he needs to be taught to execute in the ring. If he can then we have a potential animal on our hands even with a weak chin. Hide, Hearns, Tito and many other fighters with differing levels of durability went far. Khan can at the very least make himself the best lightweight in the UK and maybe Europe. That deserves respect. Not everyone can be invincible.

You could have "exposed" him!I'm pretty sure i'd have had a very good go but I very much doubt i'd have been the man. I've got a good crack though especially for a guy with 1... stoppage in 16.

By the sounds of it Khans team have got the strategy correct, I sincerely hope Oisin pulls it off but at this stage I give him about a 25% chance. But i've heard nothing from him re his training camp so i'm only getting half the info I need to make an accurate assesment.

thing is that i dont think roach could do any different.
khan didnt do anything odd or out of the ordinary in the prescott fight. he has always been an offencive fighter with immense handspeed.
in the prescott fight he was caught with some heavy punches and i doubt his chin is as weak as everybody claims but............he dropped horribly and a jab isnt ment to buckle the knees
what was wrong with khans defence?....he threw everything right just kept getting caught thats a clear sign that he is fighting people who didnt fight back or have the velocity on there punches to give back the damage.he seems good in defence at a standstill. but once he throws punches he is so open. look how he doesnt use his shoulder or footwork to get himself out of reach after he throws the right hand.
all i know is that roach will give him a basic of jab and move. it makes sense for a guy who is 5'9 and has a middleweight reach.

It will be a repeat of the Kristjansen fight. He'll hang around for a few rounds to prove that he can box, and then eventually go for the KO in the latter rounds.
Of course, if Fagan decides to come in swinging from the first then either he gets clocked or he finds Khans chin and the fight will be over very quickly.
