Oscar mid rounds stoppage. Should be exciting while it lasts. I'm quite surprised at how many people are predicting Pacman to win. I don't see it myself. I think the talk by some of Pacman stopping Oscar is insane.

No way does Pac punch harder at 147 than Tito, Quartey or even Chavez. I'd be stunned if Pac stopped him.
I dont know about that Ippy, speed kills and Tito never really got anything on Oscar in their fight. Ike had him down, also had him hurt a few times, Chavez i dont consider a very big puncher.
This is a great fight, everyone is expecting an Oscar win but we are also expecting/hoping Pac can do something special.
Pacman :happy:happy:happy

Surely you're not saying Pacquiao is a harder hitter than Trinidad? He might not have landed a heap of leather on Oscar but he was a great puncher. Chavez had 52 fights at 140lbs and above. He won 36 by stoppage. Take out his losses and he maintained his punch, no doubt about it. Was he a pure puncher ala Earnie Shavers or Jack Dempsey? No, but he could definitely whack.

Im willing to say that Pacman looks equally a hard of a puncher as Chavez maybe harder. Chavez ground down alot of his opponents where as Pac not as skilled just plain buzzed his opponents out.

You have proven over the last few days that you are a casual fan. Your knowledge and thoughts on the sport of boxing are extremely poor. That's not your fault as you have probably only been following the sport for a year or so. Keep reading up and watch as many fights (including old fights) as you can and you will improve. :good

What ? I'm not a fan of De La Hoya at all. In fact i think he is a c#nt for constantly fighting much smaller men than himself these last few years, but i'm not blind to the fact that he will most probably be too much for Pacman who is out of his league fighting at 147. I'm not like you, i don't make predictions on fight's and tip my favourite fighter's to win. My prediction that De La Hoya would win by mid rd stoppage wasn't a ludicrous prediction. Many people made this prediction, the same as many people predicted Pacman to win. My prediction was wrong and your prediction was right. The sensible pick for this fight was De La Hoya that is why he was the bookmakers favourite to win.
Teddy Atlas also picked Pacman to win and we all know that he basically makes stupid picks all the time in big fights and gets 1 correct in every 10 or so. So he got this fight correct but what about the other 10 that he gets wrong?

Turned out to be a mismatch Oscar is so old and slow. Buh, HAtton and Floyd that's a different story Pac is getting KTFO..The key is Hatton and Floyd can tag Pac which Oskie failed to do. Epic failure. Buh, even tho Pac won.. there's still bombings and firefight in our beloved Island. Which sucks. This win will boost the moral of our troops fighting freaking Filo muslim rebels. Oscar is obviously past it now, and I doubt he'd be competitive against anyone that would generate another big event. Well he wouldn't really be able to fight in another super fight now. Wow, what a performace from the little man!
He absolutely smashed DLH.
I hadn't put much thought into the outcome of this fight because I like both fighters, and I was kind of waiting to see how Manny handled DLH's power at the higher weight - one of those fights where I needed to see how they both conducted themselves at the opening bell to be able to get a sense of what would happen - but I would NEVER have predicted Manny owning DLH like that!
He made DLH look like a plodder in there - DLH was gone by the 5th round - he was using all his energy just to stay upright, and I can't recall him throwing a punch in the 7th and 8th rounds? It was bizarre to see...
An absolute clinic, well done Manny!

So he got this fight correct but what about the other 10 that he gets wrong?

i know alot of people got it right and wrong, but you were the only one on here calling people delusional who picked pac man and telling them to go learn more about boxing. So i thought i would rub it in haha.
Atleast you were man enough to admit you were wrong. Good call.
I remember somewhere throughout this year i laughed my arse off at Pacdbest when he said Pacman would beat Dela Hoya and Hatton.
Geez the ole bugger was spot on for one of them, maybe two next year :patsch:D

I did exactly the same thing, I thought he has to be kidding himself but looks like it could happen now.
