I bumped into Enzo Mac in Swansea today and talked for a couple of minutes.
He said he really wants to go after all the belts and unify the division. He wants the WBC Belt as it's the most recognised belt and the Hide fight would suit him as Hide is ranked #2 by the WBC.
He said he should know late tonight who he is fighting and Hide is apparently on the shortlist amongst a couple of others who he didn't name.

I really hope Herbie gets the fight though Macca wins by KO IMO.

Really difficult one to call with their two soft chins. Maybe Macca on the basis he's a bit more well schooled and punches straighter. He also has much superior stamina to box consistently, whereas Hide swings for a few rounds and loses the plot when he doesn't hit something.

I agree it would be a hell of a fight while it lasted.

Hide didn't seem in shape against that journeyman a few weeks ago.
If Hide steps in I would buy the PPV:deal . If it's some bum then ****** can forget it.

Former two time heavyweight titlist. He's a good fighter. I've seen his ko's at 200 and he looked refreshed. Not sure about his last few fights going the distance.
Hides a good fight to make cos Hides registered a decent comeback.

Hide's problem is he's not as quick anymore. He looked quick against heavies, and he probably would have been quick if he'd fought at his natural weight class long ago before making his money in the heavyweight division at the expense of achievement.
His physical ability is average now, so he's mostly a one trick pony. He just wings shots, but he's still got a lot of power quite clearly. It's more luck than judgement whether he actually hits anything, and he wastes energy.
I suppose with Enzo's defence and chin you never know.

Yep, thats why it would be really dangerous to take - and as a result intriguing for us.
Don't look too much into the decisions. It's more the fact he's slower and is winging his shots a lot more so they are easier to defend, and also his opponents are almost exclusively in survival mode. He would still be dangerous for a guy like Macca that is trying to win, one mistake and it could be lights out again.

There's been some legal disputes between Herbie and Frank ****** plus Herbie was effectively 'on the run' and there were some police charges against him before he went to Germany. It seems all of that has been solved as Herbie has fought in the UK recently.

I think Herbie the crazy mofo has only just been allowed back into the UK for his misdemeanors in the past?! Hence he was fighting out in Germany against cans. I could be wrong.
Hide only came down to cruiser in 2006 too.

seeing as business seems to be the driving factor in these match ups...i would say that a wbo champ enzo vs wbc champ hide...if they both become champions...could be a much much bigger fight financially than if it were to happen now..so i suppose, or guess, that the business heads in both camps may be thinking about that, and wont let them fight just yet

Saw Hide's last fight on the Thaxton undercard and he was slow and stiff. Think Enzo would KO him.

So if Enzo clobbers him, very little credit. While if Herbie can wing in one of those shots...

He cant afford to lose again..........let alone get knocked out.
He has got such high standards.

I would be interested in Macca-Hide. I know Macca can fight, and I hope he doesn't fight someone useless.
If Hide is on a shortlist, I hope he gets the call and I hope he's fit to fight a big fight. His promoters Arena Box need to take chances so they can have their first world champion.
