Just wanting to know what his chin is like.

As far as I know, he has not been down whether as an amateur or as a professional, but that in itself is not always a good indicator of what his chin is like, since it's not clear whether he's faced a big puncher yet.

Jeff Lacy, for example, was stopped as an amateur, but as a professional, he's proved to have a solid chin.

Froch's fight against Reid confirmed that his chin was solid.

If Pascal beats him, it won't be because Froch's chin wasn't good enough, I think.

He aint fought nobody that could hurt him...

I've never seen him hurt at all, his chin is solid.

However, he has this nasty habit of going through short spells where he looks like he has no idea what he's doing. He hangs his chin out to dry like a novice and can be caught quite easily. Even a woefully shot Robin Reid found the target with wild swings.

It's as if he is sometimes happy to use his robust chin as a first line of defence. This has worked so far, but the competition has hardly been world class.

Remember him appearing a bit uncomfortable against Adamu. Not troubled as such but he was on the back foot a lot and Adamu was a solid looking sod winging in big shots. Still managed to drop him like...

Seeing a bit of Pascal he doesn't look like he'll dent the chin so if he's to win he'll have to tighten up and take it on points.

Reid went wild on his chin and Froch never flinched.

If he ships punches like that constantly though, he'll be down soon enough.

Froch is that very rare boxer-granite chin and huge punch. Makes him very difficult to beat

Let's wait until he steps up against world class opposition before rating his chin as anything above average I think.

I saw him hurt when Calzaghe say he would not fight him. He looked like he would cry, this was a few year ago though and I think he has got over it.

It's not that rare, there are quite a few guys that have a granite chin, huge power but lack technique and skill,eg Darnell Wilson, Jeff Lacy, Ponce De Leon you might say aswell(despite the stunning ko loss)

Guys, are we sure that Froch has "huge power"?

I'm not saying he can't punch as he clearly can, but huge power? On a par with who p4p?

I still only rate Froch as promising to be honest. Hopefully he will wn on Saturday and face 1 or 2 big names.

Have never seen him hurt - but he hasn't fought anyone in the top 10.

Have seen him outworked at times but his punching power usually keeps opponents less willing to put themselves in the way of his winging shots.

The only person i've heard call him Frok is that guy on Setanta wwho stood in on Bunce's boxing hour. He knew nothign about boxing.

Just like those people on Ultimate Talk who know fuck all about MMA and called Wanderlei Silva Wand instead of Vand, and Rashad Evans Rashad instead of Rashard.

Froch is pronounced Frotch.

Not Frok.

I personally thought he looked stunt a few times against Reid but it's been a while since I've seen that fight so I might be wrong.

A solid chin doesn't mean he won't be stopped, let's not forget body shots.

I really want Froch to win because to lose would make him look like a prize turnip after all his talk.

I've thought since day one his chin is rock solid. Me and my mate joked about it solely cos his defence was so hilarious. I've never seen someone so bad at shoulder roll, fights exclsively in that guard and yet has become so successful. Nevertheless, Froch hasn't been down am or pro and continues to show how good his chin is. When Pascal was nailing him he never really looked hurt. Shaken but never stirred.

I think it's hard to judge his chin at the moment given that he hasnt really been in with anyone who can test it. But have to agree with achilles that there must be something to it given his defence is so bad!

He's an exciting fighter and good for the sport, but with that sloppy defence I think he's a KO waiting to happen.

Kessler would make him taste the canvas I reckon. I hope they get that fight on!
