This is very interesting! I doubted it will happen and I still do, but the fact the media is floating Herbie's name as well increases the chances. He does still have some name recognition.

I'd love to see Hide beat Macarinelli, but at this stage of his career, and on this short notice, I cant see him doing it.

In his day though, I'm sure Herbie would have given a Haye-style whopping to Macarainelli.

i dont like these short notice fights, especially at this level...makes it a much fairer fight if both boxers have the proper time to prepare themselves..

Hope he gets the nod though. Go Herbie!!! Will ****** really give him the chance though? I could still see Hide detonating a bomb on Enzo's chin as unlikely as it may seem. Then again Hide's hardly iron-jawed and Enzo's not exactly feather-fisted. Won't last long if it happens this one!

Hides style is worse than ever.

He has no defense whatsoever and ENzo would destroy him imo.

His awkward style may cause Enzo problems though and he's got the power to put Enzo away, but i just see Hide walking straight into a bomb.

Just been reading the Eastern Daily Press who quote a Sports Network spokesman who says that the fight will still be for the vacant WBO Cruiserweight title.... what a complete joke.

Macca is ranked #4, will pick a fighter who has 3 days to prepare and will be gifted a 'world' title for that. What a farce.

I like Macca but he's not being done any favours by his promoter. Something's fishy with Maccarinelli's fights... Opponents never get named until late on, stupidly late usually and we get some shenaneghans a few days before the fight.

Also, being gifted a WBO belt (twice) isn't helping him prepare for tougher fights down the line.

I'm genuinely doubtful that Banks was ever coming over to be honest.

I think that whoever Enzo fights will have known for a couple of weeks, but with Enzo - Banks as the main event it would have added a few tickets sales and ppv's.

Sadly, it's got to the stage where I dont trust FW one bit. I think Joe should promote a show in Cardiff with all of the usual suspects on it, Enzo, Gavin Rees, Bradley, Kerry Hope the lot.
