Any news on his next fight?
When and who it will be against?
No idea, but he took quite the beating last fight. If his team is smart, they'll let him take some proper time off.
Giacobbe Fragomeni in March.

Yep I was thinking this yesterday. Fart Arslan should still be in contention for an eliminator opportunity but I doubt he has quite enough left in him to be successful. He could definetly do with a decent rest but then should take what ever chance comes his way. A fight with Frag would be good.

I think he should retire.

Yeah, at Fragominiīs last fight they said that a match against Arslan is very possible. Arslan is too old to take tune ups today. Fragomeni-Arslan would be a good match. They have similar styles, are both about the same age. Fragomeni has the better defence but Arslan is bigger and stronger. I think Firat would walk him down but expect this to be a very exciting fight with lots of action.
Fragomeni would be an excellent matchup. Your analysis seems spot on. Arslan's just a shade stronger and I too think he would outwork and overpower Fragomeni, but you can bet Arslan would eat his share of punches on the way in.
You hate to see a guy like Arslan who is limited, take too much punishment. The best matchups for him from a fan's standpoint are guys like Fragomeni, Mormeck, or Tokarev. If you're his manager trying to get him wins, put him against guy who are more boxers. Someone like a BJ Flores or even Adamek would be better style matchups.

Fragomeni would be the perfect opponent for Arslan. A rematch with Tokarev?? Nah! Tokarev hits like a mule.
I very much doubt that Arslan would be able to take the same amount of good shots he took in their first encounter.
Torkarev vs Arslan would be fun to watch, but I for sure would bet my money on Vadim this time. Arslan seems to be past his prime.

Arslan will comeback in the ring in the early of 2009. He will fight one good name according to Poztsava.

Firat Arslan fights Marco Huck in may...
who are you rooting for??
Doesnīt matter. Huck wins. Arslan is going downhill.
Huck will be the no. 1 cruiser in a few years.
Many people do not believe it now, and probably thought the same about Abraham like 5 years ago. Wegner can make these "freakish" boxers succeed and grow them to do their thing bizarrely well.
People will rant about how Huck "canīt box", but I still see him destroying all his opponents in the future.

I can't see him stopping both Adamek and Jones right now. Otherwise, I think he can #3 in 200lb pretty soon.

Huck/Arslan is a good fight. Two guys with similar brawling styles who will coming right at each other. My money would go on Huck. He's the younger by a good margin and I think a notch better than the limited but tough Arslan. Huck by late round TKO.

Arslan i don't think is shot in the true word he went pro late so i doubt he has taken too much of a beating, but i think he just fell into the trap of trying to blast jones out when jones just kept throwing...i think firat just put too much into slugging it out and paid the price. should of controlled the action and a bit smarter swarming.
also jones isnt a joke...flabby and a bit unpolished but still has been a threat at cruiser for a few years now.
maybe wont get a title again but a euro title is a solid title to get especially at 200lbs.
3 or 4 years i think is the dead maximum he has left. 2 years i think he can have a good set of wins...2007-2008 was his year so why now is he totally out of the loop?

Arslan is brute will over skill. I wonder how long he will last at this age.

Their encounter will be fun to watch.Thats for sure! Well, quite a lot of Arslan's fights are very entertaining and a feast for our eyes.Huck will have to prove that he a chip off the same old teak tough block as Arslan is. I dont want to harp on Arslan's good beard, excellent stamina, and outstanding willpower, but Huck will have to stick to his coach's game plan and fight a tactical fight biting the bullet forgetting his bravado for 12 long rounds trying to counter Arslan's well known weapons.
I am not really sure whether Huck can up his game when necessary.Noneless,I tend to favour the younger fighter over the older one.

Arslan vs Ramirez would be two thumbs up, from a pure entertainment point of view, mate.

You are right, axe! The audience would sit spellbound in their seats watching Arslan and Ramirez going for each other in a memorable encounter of two brawlers.
Would be pure fun to watch.Well, either fighter would stand his ground trying to tough it out with his foe.
My guess is that they would keel over each other after 8-9 breathtakingly exciting rounds.

Me thinks Arslan - Huck will be an easy one for Huck.
As we witnessed in Arslan vs. Guillermo Jones, Arslan cant deal with looping punches. Or better to say Jones gave Arslan angles. His double guard is great against straight punches but the looping ones he catches with his head. We also know that Huck isnt really a straight puncher. He likes to explode and throws these punches u can hardly call hooks in bundles. I can see Huck explode two times per round and running for the rest of the time. This way he should get the decision.
