Enzo is the number 3 ranked contender by the WBO, and is fighting a guy that is not ranked for the vacant title.

This will be the 2nd time Enzo got a title handed to him, how do you feel about this.

even you the biggest Enzo fan cannot call him a World Champion.

Dont want to be accused of " trolling" here but he kinda has a point , picking up two vacant titles and gettting smashed to bits the one time you fought a guy with a belt round his waist and you still get to be called champ ?

It is a bit thin.

Enzo's a decent fighter and one I quite enjo watching but.........

I dont see this as Enzo's fault, but no he cannot be recognised as a world champion.

If he wins he needs to seek out, Banks in February, Hide in around June and then a unification fight end of 09.

That will restore a lot of credibility.

Enzo doesn't give a toss about the WBO belt trust me.

His ambition is to win all the 3 most prestigous belts out there.

Then credit to him for that but seems unlikely under ****** promotion

As someone said on the other thread their ambition was to bone all of Girls Aloud. So what.

The point of the thread is that this is not a world championship fight.

I'd like to believe you, but I saw Enzo hyping the Sellers fight that only failed to come off because the BBBC refused to sanction it.
No doubt when Enzo becomes a "world champion" on Saturday he will talk about feeling great to get his title back etc etc.

Straight from the horses mouth mate.

He is desperate to take all the belts he is a genuine bloke I hope he does it.

Somehow he needs to ditch ****** the snake though. I'm not sure how long he has left on the contract.

according to a bbc article alvarez is ranked 15 by the wbo. what it forgets to mention is that he's ranked at lightheavyweight

It may or may not be Enzos fault. It may or may not be ******s fault.

FACT IS this fight is in no way worthy of a British title fight let alone a world title fight. Enzos accomplishments are tarnished by the fact that he has been spoon fed, he is a media champion, a virtual reality champion, if he wins it i feel he will be a fake champion. This fight has zero integrity and that takes the piss out of the fans, as usual.

Where it's come from isn't relevant. It could still be a load of shit and as Strike said, I bet he'll be fucking chuffed if he wins and will still call himself a world champ.

Guess we'll find out after the fight.

Enzo was certainly happy enough to portray himself as a genuine champion when he had the WBO belt before. If he gets it again, even if he admits disappointment about his opponent, I doubt he'll be saying "this doesn't mean anything, the other three belts are the important ones".

Silly post.

The WBO Belt is a World Title Belt............like it or not

It has as much a right to be called a World Belt as any other differnet letter belt

IBA
IBF
WBC
WBA
WBU

we live in a World Champion belts era.................

If Enzo wins the WBO belt back on saturday..........he will have as much right to call himself a world champion as the other few guys who got belts

Its all a joke though...........as there are so many World Champions in one division...........................how can several people be champions of the World

The important thing is

he gets his WBO status back

its a start

its the first piece in the jigsaw

then it is important for his credibilty..........that he shuns easty defences

and starts to go looking for all the other belts

he seeked David Haye fight out,.................give him credit for that

we want Enzo in big fights

not easy WBO defences

he will obviously be a world champion but him winnign that title wouldn't improve his credability. I hope enzo feels this way as wel and tries to either get banks in the ring again soon or fights one of the other top contenders.

Put it this way then....If Macca loses again I expect Alvarez will be cockahoop and shout from the rooftops that he is champion of the world!!
But deep down he'd know that he won it against a shot overhyped ugly fooker.
