****** could have got a decent fighter is he pulled out the cheque book, he expectys us to pay £15 but he cant get a decent opponent. he had 6 other fights on this bill where opponents were not named until this week. if he had offered hide decent terms and a contract which did not include cancelling a law suit we could have had that fight.

Right...so...he's shortchanging the fans big time and handing out the WBO belt to his charges as if it were candy. Solution? Don't buy the PPV! Watch Froch for free, like me. He's making his fighters a hell of a lot of money - that's why he's the No. 1 choice promoter in Britain and he sure as hell ain't incompetent. I'm not sure why people are jumping at his throat for the Macca fight falling through...

Well when you combine it with Nicky Cook v Steve Foster, and then Nicky Cook v ? not going ahead after that and then Steve Bendall v Paul Smith II being called off for the second time, and then Anthony Small not defending his WBA Inter-Continental title over 12 rounds but fighting Steve Conway in an 8 rounder and the majority of the opponents only being announced a couple of days ago you could say that either makes ****** a crap promoter(from the people's point of view) or a very unlucky man.

However this isn't the first time that something like this has happened to a ****** card(in truth it happens much more than it doesn't). He's an effective promoter, and he's good at making money but from a strictly boxing point of view he's a terrible promoter.

One of his main problems now is his stable of top fighters is very small, so in order to attract people to buy tickets he has to put them all on the same bill togeher. Unfortunately half of these fighters then 'pull out'[cough] and only half of his top fighters actually fight. Usually against poorer opponents than it originally looked aswell.


I love it when someone makes a thread after a ****** card is announced 'wow look, such and such is fighting such and such, that's a great card' Well if it actually happened as advertised it might be, but this is the real World so it doesn't.

I think in the future whenever a Sports Network card is announced would should all try and guess which fights actually happen.
