these two arent just great fighters, they are incredably great fighters.

there careers and weights are so close that its almost a mystery that they never fought each other.

im sure armstrong would be a 2 or 3 to 1 over canzoneri, but im sure canzoner would not make things easy.

NO! Hell, NO!! Armstrong was a tad bigger and stronger, and a better puncher..... Armstrong was too good for Tony Baby..... Though, a great fight---while it lasts....

Canzoneri was on the way down when Armstrong was on the way up. Hence, they basically just missed each other.

Having said that, I'd favor Armstrong to outwork Canzoneri.

PS, there's an organ in the head, too. :good

They miss each other by a few years time, as said before, by the time Armstrong came, the era of Ross, McLarin and Canzoneri was coming to a end.

As for the fight, it would be a pick em imo. Canzoneri would not be, wait SHOULD not, be a underdog vs Armstrong because we are talking about the 2 best weight jumpers EVER. Canzoneri also has beating about 20 hofers in his own right also. So this is not just a "Armstrong Wins" thing, Canzoneri has angels and tricks to thown Armstrong off imo.

He can throw Armstrong off, but can he actually beat him? It takes a lot more than just angles/tricks to beat Armstrong, as fighters like Ross, Ambers, and a host of others so painfully found out. Could Canzoneri match his pace, is the real question IMO.

BIG DEE HERE= Armstrong started out at featherweight so he wasn`t a big guy at all
and he was no bigger than Canzoneri. Canzoneri in his prime would have had a helluva
chance to beat Armstrong as his style of fighting and his excellent fighting brain would have given Armstrong all he could handle. But he would have to be in his prime.

Ross was slipping when Armstrong got to him, Ross already had the wars with McLarin, Caniz, and others. Ross was about ready to be taking than.

Ambers did beat Armstrong in the rematch though.

Tony also had more than angels though, he had hand speed, a strong chin, wits, and a great will to win. Plus the skills to back it up, Armstrong would be in for a fight.

i think armstrong would just out work him maybe tony could win the first few rounds but henrys workrate would wear him down after afew rounds then dominate until the finish
