Lets face it

with these fighters all facing eachother, and in the same weight ranges, this has to be somewhat of an awsome era right now...

Cotto
Hatton
Mayweather

make up the new guard

and you still have the old timers who are still elite

hoya
mosley

then new up and comers

paul williams
clottey

i dont know i think its looking awsome

BY THE WAY.... THIS IS BY FAR MY MOST FAV YEAR OF BOXING AND I THANK THE GODS THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!!

Its the Golden Age of boxing right now period.... 168 will explode next year with the additions from 160lbs...147 is the hottest division in boxing and 130lbs is like fucking World War III down there!!! boxing has never been dead!:nono

Its hard to define and era while its happening i would wait for the next couple of years if not a decade in order to make such a judgement.

All of boxing is in a golden era, there are some really great fighters out there right now and they are in their prime.

Of course this is an awsome era. Fuckers sometimes get too nostalgic over old shit.

:yep

The oldtimers don't actually have to compete against today's fighters so it's all strictly theory they were better.
