yeah he is horrible
I could have KOed Tye Field's opponent in the first round, and I'm 5'8".
Tye Fields is so bad that even brain damaged, out of shape, injured back Joe Mesi would knock him out. Pre-Jirov Mesi would have murdered him in round one.
Now, imagine Fields versus a prime Lennox Lewis. :rofl

Tye Fields hasn't managed to knock out the worst fighter I've possibly ever seen. I think Manny Pacquiao would KO this joker. Whoever lost to Domenic whateverhisname is...should probably just quit life entirely. I can't imagine how bad the people this guy has knocked out are.

At one Saul Montana was a fairly good fighter. Can't say what he looked like vs. Fields but I expected Saul would "expose" him as they say.

The punch stats was something like 115 to 3 after 4 rounds. LOL.
It was not pretty but Fieds totally dominated Jenkins.

Well..the ever-spectacular Richard Odoms, whose stellar career spanned from Feb 2003 to October 2003, KO'd him in the first round. He hung up his gloves after amassing a perfect 5-0-0 record almost assuredly gaining him a spot in the Hall of Fame.
Fighters he beat consist of, the prolific WBA Fedecentro heavyweight champion Ron Guerrero(18-12-3). And he practically ended the career of a rising star by the name of Carlos Barnett(9-0-0) by TKO in round 4. Carlos went on to fight just once more..winning a split decision in a hard fought battle before hanging up his gloves. He just wasn't the same, much like Naseem Hamed.
Domonic Jenkins career truely is a motivating story, and Tye Fields should feel honoured to step in the ring with this perfect specimen of a boxer.

This was the 3rd choice of opponent. Kali Meehan for whatever reason never signed the contract, and then Boswell torn his shoulder and pulled out.
Honestly this fight was a total farce, Jenkins was just no match. But that is not Fields fault he had such a poor opponent. It is ironic that Fields finally tried to step up and it still didnt happen.

Well in the post fight interview TYE said Jenkins "came to fight, but my jab was too much for him" WTF..... Tye sucks and would get messed up as soon as he steps up in comp.

Was just kidding around (very bored), I realise it was a replacement. But the guy he replaced wasn't exactly a spectacular matchup anyway :think.

Hahaha. I like it. And yes, Fields truly should have been honored. Jenkins is a lock for the HoF, even with the loss, no doubt. I am tempted to rate Jenkin's third all-time at heavyweight, behind Ali and Lewis :bbb
And that last fight on Versus made me want to vomit. There's nothing I hate more than watching a guy who's been KOed 7 times (6 of them being in his first 6 fight) even get sanctioned to fight.

You can say all these things just about for any American HW contender.
Travis Walker terrible.
Chris Arreola terrible.
Chazz Witherspon terrible.
Mike Marrone terrible.
and so forth.
Iggy could knock out all these guys out in under 4 rounds.
Kevin Johnson and Eddie Chambers are the only semi-decent prospects, but even they arent overly impressive by any stretch of the imagination. Both lack power and lounge on the ropes.

The extra weight Eddie Chambers needs to put on to fight in the HW Division does not sit well on his frame at all. He is much more suited to the Cruiserweight Division, as his midsection looks much too soft with the extra weight. He should thank his lucky stars there isn't a Cotto-like fighter in the Heavyweight Division right now. Most are just headhunters, which Chambers has a good defense against for the most part.

Tony Thompson could be the real American Schiznawz.
Thompson was at the right place at the right time. Krasniqi had some mental issues or something. Thompson is big and a southpaw but thats all , he is slow and a not puncher. He is a boxer that has lapses in defense.

. Well some would make the arguement(myself included) that the sheer amount of accomplishments in his career easily eclipse that of the relatively unknown Lewis and the overly hyped Ali. And the fact that they never captured the elusive WBA Fedecentro heavyweight championship speaks volumes about their lack of dedication.
Tye Fields' victory over him tonight just solidifies Fields' position in the hunt for all the current versions of the Heavyweight Championship. Such an impressive win will surely make the current champions uneasy. I wouldn't be suprised to see them all duck Fields, they may never want to fight him because of the fear he put in their hearts after tonights performance.

Yes, yes he is. I don't know if I've seen a worse "boxer" - and you have to use that term loosely when talking about Fields - in a main event.
Where do I begin? The super-wide arm punches?? The lack of any rudiment of defense? Leaving himself wide open for counter-shots all night long? The lumbering around the ring?? There's just too much of this to catalog :patsch
I literally laughed at one point during this fight. Fans may rag on fighters and call them "jokes" and whatnot, but Fields really IS a joke.:yep:lol:

The only reason he's even able to beat 4th rate journeymen is because he is consistent and his size. He really is an awful fighter to watch.
There are worse specimens though.

Fields is probably the worst main event headliner I've seen in a long long time. He seems to really try but the tools just aren't there. Even the version of Rahman that showed up against Sykes would stop Fields brutaly. I hope someone hurries up and beats him because the more attention he gets the worst the already maligned heavyweight division looks.

Bingo. Fields throws nothing but arm punches, he leaves himself WIDE open for counter shots all the time, and has all the technique of a low-level clubfighter. As SOON as he faces anyone who is even halfway decent, he will be destroyed.
This guy is just a super-sized McNeely, nothing more.:yep:lol:

I didn't watch it. I'd make the mistake of watching Fields several times previously. He can't help that he's no good, and I respect him for trying hard, but they need to stop with any sort of hype.
The only fight he could have that would interest me at all would Valuev, just for the novelty of it. Maybe Peter, too, if Sam needs a spectacular KO for some reason.

Once you see him "fight", you'll change your tune real quick.
I know he had no amateur career, but by now he should have learned some kind of technique. He literally doesn't know how to throw a punch. The punchstats give him credit for throwing a lot of punches per round, but most of those punches are just Fields waving his arms forward and pawing. And for a guy that size, he has no power. He makes Valuev look like Sugar Ray Robinson in the skills and speed departments.
His sheer size and good stamina are really his two main attributes. He comes across as a good guy, who really likes boxing, but he just isn't very good at it.

It's obvious Fields has quit juicing. He can't fight a lick but I like his
attitude. He tries to win and he has terrific fitness for a huge man.
One must admit though: Everybody waits for him to lose as he should
with his awful boxing technique but he keeps winning. Maybe heart
and desire are underated commodities these days. Let's see these
up and comers actually show up to fight Fields and beat him before
we completely write the big dude off.

Fucking hell though, unlike most of here though, hes got the balls to get in a damn ring, and yes ive seen him,and yes hes not good at all,but come on i respect any one with the balls to fight.
And why do people on her slag a guy off,and then everybody else all agree with them, hes no worse then a shit load of dodgy heavys ive seen.
Its like and im sorry to say this, but when i see most american boxing matches,i always see big fat fucks out of the ring, throwing abuse at the fighters, which is fine, they pay to see a fight,so they have a right to a point to say what they want to,but some of the hate i read on here is laughable, how many of us have ever got in a ring?,or even had a damn fight out of one?,any one of us can talk a great fight, but doing it is a different matter.
Any way no doubt we will soon see him fighting for one of the 4 main belts,i bet he gets a shot soon.
