Bit of fun here as we reach the end of the year (my first on esb). I thought we could vote for some forum related stuff like 'best poster' and some British boxing related stuff like 'British fight of the year'.

There is no shortlist for any category so you can vote for whoever you want. I'll tally the votes up at the end of the month and see who's won.

I'm really struggling with this for some reason. My mind has gone blank, perhaps I'll wait to see a few reminders.

Napa winning the European title was a standout performance for me. He was physically outgunned by far, against a decent operator, and he even managed to hurt him badly and score a clear win.

:lol: Lol Am I really a hater? I certainly don't hate Calzaghe- He comes across as a class act out of the ring and I thought Enzo finally got a chance to do himself justice on the 24.7 program.

Calzaghes achievements are incredible. He's an exceptional fighter. But I don't like the way he fights. Thats probably the best way to summise my feelings towards him.

I had expressed huge doubts over Cotto at 140, but he looked pretty awesome at 147....Margo is just a beast though and a horrible style match up for him as it turned out. Great stuff.

British Fighter of the Year: Joe Calzaghe - His victory over the legendary and evergreen Hopkins is woefully underrated by some.

International Fighter of the Year: Manny Pacquiao, hands down.

'Best performance by a British boxer' Award: I'm going to say Froch. It was a good gritty performance and I believe that fight has to be acknowledged in some way....and I haven't did that so far.
