do u think it will be at Welterweight or Jnr-Welterweight ...
Hatton does prefer Junior Welterweight , whereas Pacman can fight anywhere down to lightweight really !
Also do u think the mail is right and it will be in London ( or UK) or will the fight stay in Vegas .

It would definately be at 140. There is no reason why it shouldn't be.

Thats where pacman said he wants to go next I believe. So it would make sense for it to be at 140. Would be one helluva fight!

Fighting @ 140lbs @ New Wembley stadium Summer 09 ,(Hatton has no buisness @ 147lbs as was proved v Floyd )
90,000 pissed up Brits paying @ least £70 a ticket , Do the Math to that then add @ least 200,000 plus PPV's around the globe , It will happen imo , this has the potential to smash all revenue records for the wee men Credit crunch or not :deal

Jnr welterweight.
Pac has already stated he isn't going to stay at 147. He has no plans of facing genuine welters like Margarito or Cotto. Tells you that they pretty much knew Oscar was ripe for the taking, and that Pac would match up very well to him stylistically. Very smart moves by Freddy Roach. In all honesty, a man who deserves almost as much credit as Pac does for orchestrating that win.
Pac v Hatton will be at 140 no question.
Very tough fight to pick. Hatton is naturally stronger, yet has trouble vs southpaws, as defensively it nullifies a lot of his headmovement when moving in.
Pac doesn't fight well off the back foot, and loses his power when smothered. That said, his activity and straight combination punching will cause Ricky big problems.
Absolute ******* of a fight. Absolute Pick em at this point.
2 birlliant minds in Roach and Mayweather Sr in the corners of both men. What a brutal chess match this will be:good

True, but credit where credit is due, for a brilliant performance and the ability to work a superb gameplan.

Absolutely. But Oscar was more shot than the Kennedy Brothers :)He was absolutely shit and fought like he was juggling Hep C, AIDS, and testicular cancer all at once.
Still, the majority of people thought he'd still be too much for Pac and knock him out.
I tipped Pac to win, but I never expected him to absolutely destroy him like he did.
It was like Mayweather/Gatti all over again.

Will definitely happen at 140, Hatton knows he isnt a Welterweight and I doubt we will see him fight there again. Really hope this fight happens, would be a great matchup and I wouldnt be too confident in picking a winner to be honest.

Im never goin against Pacman again!!
I think Hatton is getting on, he has taken lots of shots over the years, and his chin is starting to suffer.
Pac inside 6.

Pacquiao wins this.
The only guys i see probably beating him is Mayweather & the biggish/not shot welterweights...like Margarito & Cotto.

So Paul Williams beat Marg... And Carlos Quintana beat Paul Williams... And Cotto knocked out Quintana. So maybe it is Margarito who shouldn't be put in Cotto's class:yep
Or maybe it just means that at an elite level between two top guys, styles make fights:deal

I don't know if Hatton is slipping at all. He's coming off one of his best performances. There's plenty left for Manny to fight back at 135 for starters. I wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd installment with JMM.

I think JMM is showing the signs of age more so than Pac. I see Pac winning the third installment again...
I would much rather see Pac v Guzman. Would be an absolute ripper.
Pac v Juan Diaz would be pretty exciting stuff also!

Maybe, but I think JMM deserves it. I thought he looked fine against Casamayor. Guzman can go and fuck himself IMO after the stunt he pulled against Campbell. Diaz would be a ripper, agreed.

Mate Paulie's goneski. Hatton looked shite but won convincingly and stylewise would look competitive against Pac but Ricky's getting sloppier and sloppier IMO
But I agree another JMM clash with Pac would be great!

Marcus,
check his history you would know he has problems with roughhousers. Hussein and Agapito Sanchez etc. What makes Hatton dangerous is he has the footspeed to keep up and back up Pac the F up early. If he can rough him up and send him back pedalling and land bombs I see this fight ending in the 8th round PAc layed out flat on the canvass.Just my opine. Even though da guy is my kabayan, I am no nuthug or bias. IMO he is overrated he got 2 gift wins.Even so. he did alot for the country etc than most goddamn corrupt politicians ever did in their lifetime combined.I love him for that.

Your talking about fights that happened SO far back in his career though. He was a completely different fighter then.
What about all the trouble that Hatton has had during his career against southpaws.... Are we just turning a blind eye to that one?
I think you make a fair point that IF Hatton can smother Pac, he can win. Pac's activity, stamina, combination punching, and southpaw stance will make things very very tough though.
I'm leaning towards Pac at this stage.
The "gift" decisions part against JMM is just BS as well. THose fights were about as close and competitive as you could possibly get.
Your saying the guy is over rated. He has faced the best opposition possible, and has not only beaten some great fighters and HOFers, but dominated them on occasion as well. Lets be fair.
