View Full Version : 6'5 Cruiserweight Pawel Kolodziej Fights tomorrow
Another Polish standout Cruiserweight, Pawel Kolodziej (21-0) is facing Hungarian southpaw Laszlo Hubert (18-2) tomorrow in Europe.
Kolodziej beat Hubert's countrymen in Joszef Nagy (18-1) in his last fight, he is hoping for another solid win en route to a titleshot next year.
Kolodziej is kind of lost in Adamek's shadow right now (just like every other Cruiserweight out there), but he plans on making some serious noise, starting tomorrow night.

At present Poland can offer some good and decent cruiser weights: Kolodziej,Janik,Hutkowski,Adamek,Wlodarczyk,Bartnik, and so on.

As well as pilots. :hey

Big right hand which he uses too rarely, has an uppercut (many Euros dont have a good one), great jab, but gets too involved at times and suckered into brawls (like Adamek).
Also like Adamek, he appears to have a great chin, and power in both hands.

I wouldn't include Bartnik among good cruiserweights nowadays. I admit he was good amateur ages ago (bronze medal, I think in 1992), but he was nowhere as succesful as a pro.
He turned pro in when he was more than 30, and he is 41 now.
He didn't stick to cruiserweight and fought some fights in HW, which was a mistake IMHO.

Regardless of the sellouts in Germany, we have good strikers none-the-less.
Thanks, it is a great nation.:good
You can't even make a post about Polish fighters anymore on these forums without at least one Brit always making a dumbass comment. :barf

I know,gregor!
I watched his fight against the favoured Dutch based Carribean puncher Hersisia live.
Funnily,Bartnik was the one who floored his much bigger opponent in round 3. It was evident that the Pole punched above his weight.Like David vs Goliath!
Bartnik was a dwarf compared to Hersisia. I for my part had Bartnik ahead on points after 8 rounds.
