Briggs was fast handspeed and powerful.
No-one gave him much of a chance against Lewis.
But he shook Lewis up bad in that opening round.
He then took a pounding and was stopped inside 5 rounds.
But not before anwsering the critics about his fighting heart.
"You can give Shannon Briggs a medal for bravery after this" - Glen McCory.
Briggs was also WBU Heavyweight Champion - beating George Foreman on a controvisal decsion.
Briggs was not quite good enough to be heavyweight Champion as Lewis showed.
But he was fast and very powerful and dangerous to any heavyweight out there.
If that prime version were around today he would be a ideal dangerous test for Big Mac to test himself in a heavyweight debut against.
If the Mac-meister was serious about becoming heavyweight champion he would have to get past Briggs.

Enzo would take him with the bodyshots he finished Ellis with.
Just in one round this time.

That Briggs I think ko's Enzo.
You need to stop trying to match him at heavyweight in these fantasy matchups. He's not a heavyweight and never will be. If you were complaining about the weight Haye came into the ring, how much do you think an oaf like Briggs outweights him by?
It's not like jumping from lightweight to junior welter. Hence why very few apart from Holyfield have managed it.
briggs would brutally ko enzo..well, the briggs of the lewis fight would....the canon was, for me, one of the bigest dissapointments in hw boxing.....quick, charismatic, exiting and possesing brutal ko power......jsut a bit addicted to the gym, his ego and the party lifestyle.....if he got in shape, id back him to beat em all....dodgy chin or not.....but it never happened and never will..

whats your motivation for doing this?
word for word copying my haye v briggs thread and just sticking Enzo's name in it
to create another Enzo thread
People made complaints about me making all these enzo threads
and vote me a twat for doing it
then I stop doing it and havent done it for a while now
then you just cant leave it go can you?
its twatish behavior

Fair call Flint. I just saw the Haye thread yesterday, maybe it'd been jumped, either way it pissed me off, being another thinly veiled anti David Haye thread from yourself. If you've stopped recently i'm sorry mate. That aside, after Enzo's rib cracking antics last weekend, this is a relevant question.

Why does everyone now think Enzo can cut it to any degree at HW :-(.

Because he's powerful and athletic and tall and would be classified a heavyweight not long ago anyway. Didn't say he'd win any titles but he'd be in the top 50 of all heavyweights in the world at least. People forget on ESB that there are more than 3 fighters in each division.

Oof...sorry Enzo, you're going down.
Wilson fight aside, normally you have to beat the bejesus out of Briggs to win. I don't think Enzo can take the return fire in doing that.

How tall is Herbie Hide? 6,1 i think??? How much did he weigh as WBO champ. Fighting weight about 13 and a half stone no??? OK he was nailed twice but he still 'cut it'
