Could Calzaghe beat him at 200 pound and retire as a 3 weight world champ?

Adamek was a LH not so long back so what do you reckon?

He would be far too fast for adamek, Adamek probably wouldn't land a single shot, even so Calzaghe has nothing left to prove, its all about himself be satisfied with what hes achieved.

If it would be as easy as you say there is no reason not to do it.

Wouldn't be that easy though.

Maybe i exagerated a little but im just generally not that impressed by Adamek, he got beat by Dawson and yet according to a lot of people Dawson doesn't deserve to fight Calzaghe, so why does Adamek? Ok so he's cruiserweight champion, that division is one of the weakest out there.

Yes.... And it would definately be the type of fight that Calzaghe would go for a thoruoghly winnable, historic way to bow out.... I'd love to see it and hadn't thought about this matchup before Grant pointed it out... It makes great sense. Adamek won't be bothered about coming to the UK. Remember Calzaghe will be used to mixing it in the gym with Cruisers like Enzo and whoever Enzo brings in to spar. He also fought Bobby Joe Edwards early in his career. He was a pretty lofty cruiserweight.

Adamek would knock him spark out.

The man can take obscene amounts of punishment and come back strong.

He lost to Dawson, a super fast southpaw, while weight drained. Yes don't forget TA scored a heavy knockdown, and won the last 1/4 of the fight.

He beat an orthodox version of Dawson, in the excellent Steve Cunnigham, to become THE MAN at cruiser. Let's not foeget he beat the rock hard, deadly accurate Paul Briggs twice.

It would be a great opportunity for Joe - no other Brit has held 3 weight titles other than Duke McKenzie (and these were disputed titles). However it's a ris fight, Adamek's hands are fast when he lets 'em go, he was a massive light heavy, and has grown into a strong, fast cruiser. It's one of those "dare to be great" fights but it'snot like Joe to take that level of risk, even vs a former 175-pounder.

I read somewhere Hopkins is thinking about stepping up to fight him. Probably bullshit though.

Cunningham rematch I would have thought but it does sound like something B-Hop would do.
