Should he fight and then have to face not paying his camp, or should he just say fuck it, and not fight??

yes he should fight because if he doesn't it will ruin my saturday night. I hope he has his priorities in line.

I'd advise him to still fight. If he doesn't, he's gonna have one or two or three....... or four more court cases that will make this one seem like a slap on the wrist. It's gotta be really frustrating for him, but he still should go through with the fight.

I personally wouldn't give him any shit for not showing up, but I think he'll be looking at a lot worse than he is now if he doesn't.

This is a hard one, because his purse is being withheld for who knows how long after the fight. He has to do what is best for his family and team, and the risks of getting injured is high.

JLC is also a warrior and is always willing to give the fans a good fight to watch.

I would not be sad with either choice, very neutral on this matter, either not risk his health and family or give the fans a good fight and pulling from this one might get him in more trouble.

jlc will probably fight to avoid further legal and financial complications... but it's the quality of his performance and motivation for that fight which is now in question.

Fuck no, I wouldn't fight! It's not like he's having a pillow fight, this is Hatton, he could go out a vegatable and have nothing to pay his bills. Fuck that, fighters go in there and put there body and health at risk they have to get paid.

If I was in his shoes I would say "fuck the fans", if I'm not gettting paid I'm not fighting. And if he pulls out, I say he he did the smart move.

I guess it's gonna be a "Legendary Nights" rerun for us.

What would be smart about it? I myself wouldn't blame him if he didn't show up, but there are a lot of other people who would. He'll be looking at a lot more lawsuits if he decides that he just isn't going to show up.

I dont think HBO would give him so much a hard time about than they will Gary Shaw.

Okay, but when you consider the promoters, the venue, the fans who paid for tickets.. someone is going to sue.

He would be foolish not to fight, obviously, and here's why

If he fights and wins the lawsuit, then he'll get his money

If he doesn't fight and wins the lawsuit, he gets nothing

If fights and loses the lawsuit, then his purse would pay off most or all of the damages

If he doesn't fight and loses the lawsuit, he still has to pay the damages either way and he'll have less money to pay with

It's not that it's this, that fight was a long fucking time ago and there has been plenty of time to get this situation resolved, why the fuck would this be passed two day's before the fight, that is bullshit and any of you who think it it's not is a fucking dumb ass.

Is it bullshit? Yeah it fucks up Castillo's concentration and the timing of it is awful, but that's the way the legal system here works, at a snail's pace. There's nothing that can be done

Shotgun

Yeah, well actually that does make sense......:think

But he is risking alot by going in there without getting paid. If he was up against a lite puncher then i would be all for it, but he is going up against Hatton, that dude doesn't have soft hands. he could easily get hurt in this fight and not have nothing to pay his medical.

Well I would hope JLC has health insurance that would cover his medical expenses if he got hurt.

But the problem is that if he pulled out of this fight on the grounds of his purse being withheld, he would probably get sued by Dennis Hobson and/or Ricky Hatton and maybe HBO.

He would really risk screwing himself over if he didn't fight, he could be financially ruined if he pulled out. Imagine if he pulls out, gets nothing, loses the lawsuit against Shaw and then loses another lawsuit from Hobson/Hatton/HBO or whoever else. It's a bad situation but the best choice would be for him to fight

castillo is rich anyway. he should fucking fight.

Couldnt Castillo be sued again if he doesnt fight? That is what got Castillo in trouble in the first place. Castillo did sign a contract to fight on June 23rd, he would be breaking that. It seem a very bad idea for everyone's intrests , for Castillo to pull out.

Damn seriously we can sit here and talk about what he should do but who WOULD WORK FOR FREE? Specially WHEN IT INVOLVES A WAR WITH HATTON?

Yep, that sums it up in a nutshell. Plus Castillo should fight because it could be a pretty damn good fight, and you know, I am pretty sure a "few" fans would like to see it.

Of course he should. No matter what he is going to owe that money, and he will not be able to fight again until it is paid or they will just withold his next paycheck. Also if he pulls out, this is probably the last big fight and big paycheck that he will receive.

He isn't working for free, though. If he goes ahead with the fight one of two things will eventually happen

One, he wins the lawsuit against him and gets his money

or

Two, he loses the lawsuit and the money is used to pay off a debt that he would have had to pay off regardless

What if he takes a "slide" during the 2nd round?

Now, to me that would be hillarious.

Well it's a possibility. Never thought of that. :rofl

But I think JLC has more pride than that

Yeah, that is what I posted. I dont see the logic of , well I was sued for pulling out of a fight. Now I got to pay that money back, so I will pull out of this fight. Come on, no else see's the logic of what will hapen? Castillo will end up taken to court again and sued for Hatton's lost purse.

Now, if Castillo KO's Hatton, people will say that Castillo will have an unfair advantage, being totally and unfairly enraged by them taking his purse.

If they didn't take his purse, he would have only had the normal level of anger, and hatton would have won.

JLC can never catch a break.

Don't worry, the opposite is true too. If Hatton wins, the first thing you'll hear is he only won because JLC is shot and because JLC was distracted by the purse issue

If JLC beats Hatton, YES people will come up with excuses. But who gives a shit about those type of posters anyway? They are assholes. Will LEGITIMATE or CREDIBLE sources make excuses? Nope. And that's what matters.

Castillo is a ATG but Hatton could seal Castillo's legacy almost to the max. However knowing that you have a lot of money coming gives everyone a big psychological edge when it comes to performing dangerous jobs.

Mexican success does not have the most politically correct sentiments right now and there are probably all kinds of forces out there wanting Hatton to win this fight so Castillo should first talk with his pastor and church elders and then find the best Mexican American lawyers he can find.

If Castillo still feels extra confident, I think he should go in like a man with nothing to loose and beat the crap out of Hatton in "almost" every way he can think of if you know what I mean. If the system took advantage of me like they are him I would not feel to to uncomfortable getting down and dirty even if it means getting DQ'd by some fat corrupt HBO ref who's probably gonna let Hatton wrestle anyway.

Of course he should . . . that's his career right in there. Think of the money later on.
