Anybody hear running the city 2 surf - city to bondi 2morrow???
thought there d be a few - considering theres quite a few fit guys posting ....anyway- if u do- post how you went- etc.
Its my 3rd year in it this year. 1st year jogged - put up 100 minutes,
last year trained a lil- put up 92 minutes. This year I havent really trained at all and been a bit of a fat cunt- but im running with a good runner - so hopefully that ll push me harder. Hoping to get down to the eighties. That ll be a good time for me. considering .
Id be lucky to walk that distance, I dont know how long it is but i bet it's longer than i could care to walk...say 2 kms.
I have become a little fitter over the last 3 months and will be back in sparkling form come the spring touch footy comp :deal

So how did you go?
Im doing the Burnie 10km in 2 months, iv strated training for it, i want to go under 50mins. But iv done 52min three years in a row.

i was supposed to go in it, wouldve been my first year but i went to the races on saturday and got blind then i went into the clubs that night and didnt get home untill 4. im spewin, goodbye ticket money.

i couldnt do it... im a shit distance runner... well id make it but i reckon jogging about 4kms and 10 walking.

the only reason i run it because my work are a major sponsor and they have a tent set up at the finish. with free food, beer and massages

do you ever rip into a joint after a big run? apparently it messes you up hardcore :lol:
The furthest Ive ever run was 7 miles which is about 11k. That was about 8 years ago when I was actually pretty fit. If I had a crack at 14ks now theyd need to have a team of paramedics running behind me with Oxygen and a stretcher.
How did people get on anyway? Anyone get a decent time in that did it?

It does rip you fuckin hard!!! And i said i wouldnt do it again but i know i will. Im meeting a girl after it, she likes a smoke, so will do that. But i really like this girl and i wanna pick her up. I am hoping to have a shower at her place and she just joins me.......but i think im dreaming a little.

i just looked up the side effects in one of my med books and it says that although you can get headaches, sneezing and palpitations these are usually only short lived
