I agree with you on Hatton and Margo, but Mosley is far from being overrated.

That's a good point. Besides a few scattered fans, who overrates Tarver? Are any legit sources calling him a top 10 ATG Lightheavy or anything like that? I haven't heard anyone go overboard in their praise of him, except for a few fans on message boards.

A certain poster on this forum wants him in the HOF and on everybody's ATG lists based on a fluke KO he scored with his eyes closed over a washed-up former great.
Other than that, what did he achieve? Sure, he came up with a fantastic catch phrase- "DYN-O-MITE!", but that shouldn't get him in the HOF surely...?

From the view of the fans and media he never has been overrated. But Tarver Overrates himself..In his own world he thinks hes this and that. So in that sense he is overrated but really no one gives a shit about tarver so he isn't overrated.
To really be overrated you have to be nuthugged by the TV stations...proclaim that they are doing all this shit and they are all so good and at the same time the boxer isn't accomplishing shit to be given such respect or attention. Most fighters in general aren't overrated but just "they are what they are"

honestly i'd put margarito ahead of tarver. at least tarver became lineal at lhw, beat some accomplished names in griffin, jones, glen johnson.

Tarver is still not overrated. Hatton is overrated b/c people seem to think that he is better then he actually is. I mean he is a very good fighter and is good at his style but I still say a speed fighter makes him look like an amateur. And the UK overrates all of there fighters. That is fact, not fiction. Some are still trying to convince that LEWIS is the best HW of all time or say Toney ducked Benn and Eubanks. Or the best yet, HAYE is going to be the next heavyweight champ of the world...that is the most entertaining.

Come on..no disrespect, but you guys are infamous for your imaginations rather then actual fights that happen. Like assuming Calzaghe would beat a prime toney/roy/bhop etc etc..lol Or saying that Hatton beat a prime TSYU or Castillo which is false. Tsyu was far from shot and that was a great win for hatton. But Castillo is done, he is OVAA. As you like the Lennox phrase. All of you are known for backing your guys through anything. We at least jump ship and admit we overrated our fighters. Lacy..lol..etc..etc..we were guilty and admitted it. You guys never admit guilt.

You may be right, Calzaghe's main weapon is speed and Roy was probably even faster and hit harder. But i dont think he'd give a bad account of himself at all. I think as far as ability goes Calzaghe is a top 3 P4P guy, but lack of big name P4P guys on his record puts him a few places down.
