who wins???

personally, i think maia is a level above bisping and that he has a serious shot at beating silva.

Maia is a brilliant BJJ technician, but his standup is too lacking to hang with Silva long enough to not eat something huge. He could beat Bisping though, but at this juncture I'd make the fight about 50/50.

I'll pick maia, he has good jiujitsu. Bisping is good but he is overrated cuz he won that ultimate fighter show. If matt Hamill didn't get injured in that show it would have been hamill as the ultimate fighter. I believe hamill won their fight in england but since bisping had the hometown advantage the judges gave it to him.

Maia by first round submission. He's an absolute beast.

Bisping. He's a better overall fighter. Maia lacks good striking. But his BJJ is top notch. I just think Michael would negate Maia's superior BJJ by stuffing his TD attempts.

If Lutter can put himself in such a good position vs Silva in that first round without take huge blow, Maia absolutly can do the same, and he actually, care about being in shape, unlike the fat Travis Lutterl

But I'll give a better chance to Rousimar Palhares to beat Silva, mainly, because he has an iron chin on him, and he is a wizard too on the ground.

For the thread
Maia sub 2

mias hardest fight interesting match. we havnt really seen him hit yet bisping would surely do that. i say that maia gets a fright on the feat and pushes threw to get a late sub

I agree with that.

Maia's technique on the ground is amazing. It's hard for me to imagine anyone finishing him there. Maia is not as physically strong as a lot of the upper level guys. 3 rounds may not be enough time for him to do enough to avoid losing by decision as he steps up in class.

Bisping is probably the better fighter but if it went to ground in this fight he would certainly lose.
