Yes. He had lots of skills back then, but little brain. Now he has lesser(Stil great skills, but not as much as before) skills, but better brain. I'd actually be a bit disappointed in Golota if it lasted 8 rounds, he should be able to get McBride out of there quite a bit quicker than that.

If Golota needs a points verdict, or even manages to lose this one...I think retirement should be his first option.

He needs a convincing knockout to raise his profile, and McBride should be a suitable sacrificial lamb.

Of course, that sounds very similar to such comments here in June 2005 as well... ;)

Mcbride is useless, Tyson fight was nothing, the real measurement of Mcbride was his last fight were he was destroyed by a smaller guy. Watch good Irish fighters like Andy Lee and even Duddy this guy Mcbride is not very good although Golota is past it he should win easily.

One problem, King don't got any heavyweight titilists!! He has a chance with Peter to get one, but if Peter beats Maskaev..he still has to face Vitali and then McCall..so that won't work out for Golota. King is a non-factor in the HW division.
