WHATS THE STRADEGY?
WHAT KIND OF FIGHT WILL DEVELOP?
HAYES SAYS HE WANTS A KO............EARLY - MIDDLE - LATE ?
WHEN THAT FIRST BELL SOUNDS IN LONDON IN JUNE
AND BRITISH BOXING HISTORY UNFOLDS BEFORE OUR EYES
HOW IS THE HAYEMAKER GONNA BRING IT TO VITALI? :bbb

imo he should do what he always does, theres no point in changing anything too much because i think his best chance is inside the first 6 rounds.
Can Haye get around Klitschko's jab? Can he connect often enough to have an impact? I hope so, but can't see it. We'll see.

Haye is a good fighter, but he has been silly to go for the hardest fighter in the HW division after ONE HW win...
If haye wins, it will be great for British boxing, but I have a feeling VK is going to make him look silly, esp. after Haye has conducted himself, VK is going to want a knockout.
To be honest, I think it would be good for Haye to be brought down a few pegs, as at the moment he just annoys me with his cocky attitude; I understand it's all part of boxing, but it wouldn't hurt to show a little respect to the two headed HW dominator.

I think Haye will fight fairly cautious, and figure a way to avoid the jab before he eats a load of them
So I basically expect him to slip the jab, counter punch, and start again
He won't want to get inside and stay there, it'll be more a case of in and out. Even though Vitali would rather fight at range, he will wear Haye out if there is a lot of close quarter 'work'.
The key against the Klitschkos is to not let their jab dictate the whole fight

Maybe Vitali will cut up again if Haye lands enough on him.
Not much of a strategy - to win a fight on cuts - but it could happen!

Isn't the problem for Haye that no matter how well he outboxes Klitschko and for how long, he only needs to get caught once to be in serious trouble?

He will throw caution to the wind and try to take him out early "throwing bombs".
PS...do they have Caps locks there in Jackland?

Haye is going to dance for tweleve rounds. In and out with very quick one two combos.
What Vitali can't hit what he can't see.
Look to the first couple of rounds of Hide vs Bowe I as the template

Oh, toe-to-toe slugfest, no doubt. Stand in the middle of the ring and throw as many punches as possible.

Dance? John Sergeant can probably dance better than Haye.
In and out tactics are the way to go; however, methinks Haye doesn't have the lungs to do that for 12 rounds. He'll need to catch VK leaning back if anything.

vitali will not be champ by the time haye comes up to face him.
His best chance would be to just circle around the ring and not let Vitali establish a jab or any kind of rhythm.
Then he needs to use his speed to his advantage since Vitali is leaden footed and upright. Haye can fight in bursts hitting him with impressive combinations and then getting away. Hopefully this would wear the old Vitali down, and maybe he can hope for some kind of injury or weakness in Vitali that was not shown up the non-competetive affair with Peter. After all...he has had one fight in 4 years.
Haye's problem is he could be too macho and sloppy. He may just try to fight fire with fire and end up getting caught by something nasty.

This is true, we know Vitali is tough.... Haye is chinny...And when has Vitali ever been outboxed?

its gonna be allot like the Mormeck fight, haye is loving the fact the klitsckos and the us fans think hes just a banger that only goes for KO with every punch.

Keep slipping the jab and in and out. Speed speed speed chase some chickens Davo son.
I would also be tempted to land a big right hander on the big bastard's dodgy knee. Deducted a point but Klit will be up shit creek. HAYE WIN- RETIRED.

I see Haye using his speed to out box Vitali since the chances of him knocking the big fucker out are slim. Pretty much what he usually does, perhaps with him taking fewer risks since one big punch on his chin and he'll be screwed.

he would have to be constantly moving his feet and head
getting in and out with fast combos in the early rounds
but as the fight wears on i think klitshko will start slowing down as he is 36 and haye has to up his work rate

I know that Willard is no Vitali and Haye is not Dempsey but the fight is relevant in that it shows how a man who is seriously physically disadvantaged can still take his larger opponent. Stay way on the outside, draw the jab and try to slip in to deliver your combos, and when you have landed keep throwing...whether Haye is capable of doing what Dempsey did I don't know.

I'd emphasise slipping/parrying the jab plus working on counter-punching and footwork. The speed differential is going to be very much in Haye favour, so he needs to take advantage of that. He should aim to win as many rounds as possible and not wait for the KO.
A more detailed analysis will follow if this fight actually looks like it's going to happen. Vitali is 1-10,000 in his recent attempts to actually get into the ring.
