You look alot like Joe Mesi.

Indeed, that was a brutal body shot out of no where by Gerry.

That is the one.

Some people think Castillo just quit on that fight.

Of course, it hurt that much, but you got a feeling he just quit on that one.

He was gettinmg pummeled, anyway, so he probably thought it was better to quit than to have rounds after rounds of sound beating.

That was the post-mortem.

Penalosa was getting schooled for the rest of the fight (except for the close 1st round) until...BAM! Well-placed and well-timed, that was one beautiful and perfect body-shot... Cheers to Gerry P. You deserve the belt dude after that de leon travesty.

Was he being schooled at that time?

Getting outworked but no way getting schooled..Most punches were blocked ..Only thing that trouble Gerry was the left hook to the body which ironically the punch he use to end it..

Jhonny is no easy task..He was a giant out there...Gerry had a hard time getting inside and cutting the ring off... But his defense was as always great.

Honestly though w/o the KO he would have lost a UD...

agreed. especially that he was the champ coming on the fight. There was no way Gerry would have robbed Gonzales with that game.

The good thing about Gerry is he so skilled and fundamentally sound no one can make him bad, even in a loss.

I can't believe that Hopkins boxed so cuatiously knowing that he could make one of the biggest statements in quite some time by going for the kill in the early rounds.

I guess that's why Bhop came out firing on all cylinders in Hopkins/Taylor 2? I mean, he was trying to make a statement and redeem himself right? Oh...

And I from the rest of your post, I wonder if you've ever even stepped into a boxing ring or felt the leg-numbing, stomach-churning of even a glanced liver shot that'll make whoever you think is the King of all Iron Beards on all fours, gasping for air. B/c you talk like boxing's version of Monday Morning QB. Just another spectator w/o talent or knowledge, that's in no position to give any opinions about what a fighter should be able to do.
