I have only watched a few of his kickboxing fights and he seems to me like a danger fighter who could turn a fight around with a couple of big hits, kind of like Mark Hunt.

He would be a great addition to the scene if he was backed to train instead of washed up rugby players fighting pensioners. Full time prep and you will see much more than a a 3 round fighter - although it doesn't matter when 90 seconds and it is all done eh!

I Read somewhere recently that he said he fights for beer money, not really someone that corporate sponsors are going to want to back unless at the pub.

You need to read this thread again buddy, you said sponsors should be backing Edwards instead of Hoppa and I have stated why that is not viable for the sponsors.
I am not a Hoppa fan just boxing fan, if Ben Edwards wants a shot at the Australian Heavyweight Title he needs to win more than 1 boxing fight and get rated in the top 10.
And as far as sponsors go it takes a lot of hard work to get them and it is a give and take scenario, they don't just fall out of trees.

Hoppa is HW champ and should clean up his losses to Fitzgerald and Edwards rather than sitting on the shelf waiting for Mirovic to get just older ( no disrespect to Bob, he's had a long stellar career). Ideal start to show us how Hoppa has improved and how he is going to be a force on the scene.

No he is not in and why does it have to be for the belt? Perhaps both would be interested in a non title match? If Edwards won what would that do for getting him ranked? If Hoppa won what would that do to display his improvement to all concerned?
