I think after watching that last clip .... Jason would have done well to learn the art of tying up his opponent's ala "Hatton" style. If he did that he might not have sustained the injury that retired him....:think

He Does remind me a bit of Hatton....:think

I used to work with an old school mate of Jason's.

He said Tszyu had extended an invite to Jason to train under his management a couple of years ago.

He also said that Jason often complained that Tszyu worked him too hard :yep

He liked to party a bit from what this guy was telling me, and I guess he chose that life instead of applying himself at boxing. A shame really, but different folks, and all that.

I thought he had some kind of eye injury.... That put him out????

I dunno for sure, but apparently he wasn't happy getting his balls busted at the Tszyu Academy

To Cedrichw , yes mate , in consideration for Kostyas preparation to the Sharmba Mitchells Fight II i did my best to have no confrontations with the respect i have for him. Over the course of the week Igor was obviously under much pressure to fix what wasnt broken , our strategy didnt need any more modifications , only some tips from Kostya and inspiration in his discipline. Its like a timing calibration relationship in the training for a prep and Kostya wanted me to do exactly what he was doing for his prep and i was not responding positive at all. He was obviously pushing Igor to push push push , but alll in the wrong ways .If I Stayed and argued my case further it would have escallated the already uncomfortaqble tension in the air and would have ended up being a distraction for Kostyas prep and my heart broke in what i witnessed there behind the scenes whose names ill not mention . Kostya had all the best intentions for me but what he went through to make him champ , doesnt mean it would work for me . Maybe i should have tried more to talk to Igor more but others in the Kostyas team said Kostya would brush it off . I tried and tried but was talking to brick walls. Many members there boxing also witnessed the so called discipline i was put through , it wasnt discipline , it was ignorance. I love keeping it real and confronting a point , but not 4 weeks away from Kostyas fight . It is all about his prep down there and then , i had no say or wasnt listened to. So thats why i just left peacefully . Now im more mature maybe i could have kept trying but on 2nd thoughts no i have no regrets in what i done . I was Shocked hurt brokenhearted and confused to what i experienced. The training was no where as hard as what me and Igor did in our last 3 fights . My injuries kept me from going beyond . Pain leading to injury i STOP , pain leading to improvement i kiss on the mouth . Everything was just a misunderstanding. Great seeing your fights for the first time mate . pity you ain't in the buisness anymore a young man like yourself could do a lot worse than getting a trainers licence , double up your boxing knowledge with your love of travel and i see a decent few years coming your way in the UK or Germany where the gyms are teaming with talent all looking for the right trainer , seriously there are that many youngsters turning pro there ain't enough trainers to cope . Good luck from Wales , Josey Wales
