How talanted is Vadim Tokarev & is he good enough to win a belt?

He is not bad fighter, lets give someone chance and we will see. Remember all boxing fans, one fight can change fighter.
Contender level, shouldn't be good enough to win a belt under normal circumstances. But the talent in CW is not that deep so it's not totally unthinkable. If an over-protected clubfighter like Enzo Fraudarinelli can hold a belt, Tokarev can do it too.

Tokarev is a strong and powerful fighter who has pop in his fists. He for sure has the potential to capture a title at cruiserweight. However,I very much doubt that he would be able to defend it for very long.
He can beat fighters like Adamek,Cunningham,or Jones.Nevertheless,a victory wont be a sure bet.

Tokarev is a plodder who lost to green Marco Huck.
Cunningham would box his ears off

I've posted several times recently on Tokarev but not in this thread.
I wouldn't exactly call him a plodder. Tokarev is a strong, pressure fighter that comes in behind a high guard and throws almost all hard shots. He doesn't move laterally much, but does have ability to get inside, sometimes behind the jab. I also like the sets up his attack with body shots. Tokareve is always in top shape and very strong physically.
Tokarev is a top contender, although I do think he'd get outboxed against Cunningham, Adamek, and Jones. I would consider making a favorite over just about any other top fighter in the division other than the champions.

You entire opinion on Tokarev seems to be based on Tokarev's performance against Huck,eh!
I very much doubt that Cunningham would box his ears off as you put it that nicely.
Tokarev is a strong and powerful cruiser with pop in his fists and a good beard. He is no pushover for no one.I was quite amazed to see Huck outbox Tokarev in their encounter. To be honest I thought that Huck was going to be floored.I was wrong.Huck showed a great performance that day. However,Tokarev has shown very convincing performances against Wilson, former amateur star Ismailov,Cora, and Firat Arslan.
The Cunningham who lost his first encounter with Wlodarczyk would lose a fight against the version of Tokarev who beat Ismailov.
Cunningham doesnt play in a different dimension,so to speak.

I was very high on Tokarev, especially after his win vs Cora, but got quite dissappointed with his performance against Huck. Huck himself isnt a top5 Cruiser and handled him pretty easy.

I am pretty sure he was meant to fight Guillermo Jones (who has also been very inactive) a month or so ago but that got cancelled for some reason :huh
